DEPARTMENT HEADS, SECTION CHIEFS UNDERGO SPARKS TRAINING

October 12, 2026 – Department Heads and Section Chiefs of the LGU Tagudin participated in the SPARKS Workshop/Seminar to strengthen leadership competencies, enhance teamwork, and promote responsive governance.

The sessions were facilitated by Mr. Paterno C. Laboy and Ms. Cherrie B. Bayuga, Accredited Trainers of the Civil Service Commission – Regional Office I, who shared their knowledge and expertise in promoting effective leadership practices and responsive governance.

Mayor Vangie believes that investing in training and capability-building of LGU personnel is an investment in better public service. By continuously developing the skills and competencies of our workforce, we strengthen our commitment to delivering efficient, accountable, and people-centered services to every Tagudinian.

MNAO LEADS MONDAY FLAG-RAISING CEREMONY

October 12, 2026 – The Municipal Nutrition Action Office (MNAO) spearheaded the Monday Flag-Raising Ceremony of the Local Government Unit of Tagudin, reaffirming the commitment of the municipal government to uphold professionalism, unity, and excellence in public service under the motherly leadership of Our Katulong iti Umili, Mayor Evangeline Ingoy Verzosa.

The ceremony was attended by the municipal officials and employees, representatives from the Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), and representatives from the Philippine Army(PA), Philippine Coast Guard(PCG) and various National Line Agencies.

October 10, 2026 – The Municipality of Tagudin strongly supports the 2026 Tagudin Municipal Sports Meet, promoting sportsmanship, physical fitness, and holistic development among student-athletes representing their respective schools under the Department of Education (DepEd).

The event provides young athletes with an opportunity to showcase their talents, demonstrate discipline and perseverance, and uphold the values of teamwork, fair play, and sportsmanship.

AWARDING OF DOLE-ASSISTED CHICKEN EGG-LAYING LIVELIHOOD PROJECT

October 6, 2026 — The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), headed by Ilocos Sur Field Office Head Mary Antonette Avila, in partnership with the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) and the Local Government Unit of Tagudin (LGU Tagudin), under the leadership of Our Katulong iti Umili, Mayor Evangeline Ingoy Verzosa, successfully facilitated the awarding of the DOLE-Assisted Chicken Egg-Laying Livelihood Project to Ms. Jocelyn O. Javellana, a beneficiary from Barangay Lubnac, Tagudin, Ilocos Sur.

The livelihood assistance, provided under the DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP), included essential project inputs such as chickens, feeds, vitamins and supplements, egg trays, and a digital egg-weighing scale to support Ms. Javellana in establishing and sustaining her egg-laying livelihood enterprise.

This initiative highlights the continuing partnership among DOLE, OWWA, and LGU Tagudin in promoting sustainable livelihood opportunities, empowering qualified beneficiaries, and strengthening their economic capacity toward improved and self-sufficient livelihoods.
