Bringing a taste of Seoul to the heart of the Philippines! 🍶

The Embassy recently transformed its reception into a vibrant celebration of Korean traditional liquors, a curated selection of 25 unique varieties, ranging from the iconic, milky makgeolli to the sophisticated cheongju and bold, premium distilled spirits.

What makes these spirits so special? It’s all in the process. Using natural ingredients like rice and traditional fermentation techniques, these liquors offer a smooth, rich profile with aromas you won't find anywhere else 🌾

The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the pairing! 🍬 Guests enjoyed their drinks alongside traditional Korean confections: Hangwa, known as Korea's light and crispy traditional crackers, and Yakgwa, the sweet, honey-infused delights.

Celebrating 7 years of harmony at the ASEAN-Korea Music Festival (ROUND 2026)! 🎶

Ambassador Lee Sang-hwa and the Embassy team joined the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) at the PICC to kick off this incredible cultural exchange. Supported by the ASEAN-Korea Cooperation Fund, the festival has grown into a powerful bridge connecting Korea and ASEAN through the universal language of music.

With the Philippines taking the lead as this year’s ASEAN Chair, the energy at the Smart Araneta Coliseum was truly special. As Ambassador Lee beautifully noted, “Music has a unique power to transcend challenges and convey messages of empathy, solidarity, and hope.”
