Severe Tropical Storm (STS) "PAOLO" slightly intensifies and is about to make landfall in Northern Aurora-Southern Isabela area. β€œPAOLO” is forecast to traverse over the Luzon landmass as a Severe Tropical Storm, although its further intensification into a typhoon prior to landfall is not ruled out. β€œPAOLO” is forecast to move generally west-northwestward throughout the forecasting period and may exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) tomorrow morning. At present, it is bringing inclement weather conditions across large parts of Northern and Central Luzon, some parts of Bicol Region, and Quezon province, while its trough is bringing cloudy skies with a high probability of rain over the rest of Luzon, including Metro Manila, and Western Visayas.

Currently, no Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal is in effect over Metro Manila, including Taguig City. However, the periphery of STS β€œPAOLO” will also bring strong to gale-force gusts over the City. In addition, as of 7:30 AM, a Rainfall Advisory was raised over Taguig City, in which the City may continue to experience light to moderate with occasional heavy rains within the next three hours.

Meanwhile, over the next 12 hours, the City may experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the trough of STS β€œPAOLO”.

Severe Tropical Storm (STS) β€œOPONG” maintains its strength while over the Philippine Sea. β€œOPONG” will continue moving west-northwestward, passing close to Northern Samar or may make landfall over Bicol Region by tomorrow morning or early afternoon as a Typhoon. β€œOPONG” is forecast to weaken back to STS category as it crosses Southern Luzon throughout Friday, and may exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) on Saturday afternoon or evening. As of now, several provinces in Luzon and Visayas, and northeastern tip portions of Mindanao are now placed under the Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS), with the highest possible warning to be raised during its passage is TCWS #4. At the same time, the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) affects the western section of the country, bringing cloudy skies with a high probability of rain over these areas.

Currently, Metro Manila, including the City of Taguig, is under TCWS #1, with expected winds of 39–61 kph, indicating minimal to minor threat to life and property within the next 36 hours. Residents are advised to monitor the updates regarding this tropical cyclone, as higher TCWS may be raised over City within the next Tropical Cyclone Bulletins.

Meanwhile, over the next 12 hours, the City may experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the Southwest Monsoon.
