About the Role:
As Handyman and Driver, you will mainly focus on the day-today maintenance and professional upkeep of the Embassy and official residences. The candidate is expected to have a good communication skill in English and a working knowledge on electrical, plumbing and carpentry works. As a driver, you will also be responsible for providing safe, efficient, and professional transportation services to the Embassy staff and official visitors, when required.

Building homes in more waste than one ♻️🏠

The Nordic Embassies are proud to have officially turned over the modular housing unit made from recycled plastics to Pasig City, as part of our collaboration to accelerate circular economy in the city, through the support of The Nordic Council of Ministers.

The Nordic Ambassadors and Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto led the turnover ceremony and highlighted the two-fold benefit of the project in reducing waste and in strengthening social housing efforts in the city.

Designed by Evergreen Labs, the prototype’s walls and panels were made from 2,200 kilograms of flexible plastics processed through ReForm Plastic Technology.

The unit will serve as a model for the city government’s transition housing which will provide temporary shelters for relocated residents of the city.

In celebration of today, we are excited to contribute to creating cleaner communities and ensuring more dignified living for the people of Pasig.

07 April 2026 - The Philippines and Denmark officially kicked off the celebration of 80 years of diplomatic relations with the unveiling of the commemorative logo at the Naval Operating Base in Subic.

Held aboard BRP Miguel Malvar, the launch marks the start of commemorations leading to the anniversary on 28 September 2026. In his message, which was conveyed by Director Ferdinand Flores of DFA-Office of European Affairs, Philippine Ambassador Pablito A. Mendoza recognized Denmark as a valued partner in advancing sustainable solutions and green innovation. He stressed that this milestone reflects both the longevity of formal bilateral ties and the enduring friendship and mutual respect between the two nations.

Carrying the theme “𝘗𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘯𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘢 𝘚𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘍𝘶𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦,” the milestone highlights the strong foundation of shared values and common interests that have guided Philippines-Denmark relations over the past eight decades. The partnership continues to grow across key areas such as sustainable development, maritime cooperation, and support for a rules-based international order, among others.

Nordic Day 2026, the first ever Nordic Day celebration in the Philippines 🇵🇭, was made possible through the generous support from our Gold sponsor, Wärtsilä Corporation.
