𝑬𝒎𝒑𝒐𝒘𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒂 𝑺𝒂𝒇𝒆 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑹𝒆𝒔𝒑𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒇𝒖𝒍 𝑾𝒐𝒓𝒌𝒑𝒍𝒂𝒄𝒆 💜

The DOST-SEI Gender and Development Technical Working Group (GAD TWG), in collaboration with the Human Resource Management Unit, successfully conducted a 𝒕𝒘𝒐-𝒅𝒂𝒚 𝑨𝒏𝒕𝒊-𝑺𝒆𝒙𝒖𝒂𝒍 𝑯𝒂𝒓𝒂𝒔𝒔𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝑻𝒓𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 for Committee on Decorum and Investigation (CODI) members and GAD TWG members last November 6–7, 2025 at ADMATEL.

The training was led by 𝑨𝒕𝒕𝒚. 𝑨𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒏 𝑳𝒊𝒃𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒐-𝑬𝒔𝒑𝒊𝒏𝒐, President of FORA Consulting and a member of the National GAD Resource Pool, who facilitated insightful sessions on the 𝑶𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒐𝒏 𝑪𝑶𝑫𝑰 𝑮𝒖𝒊𝒅𝒆𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒆𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒄𝒆𝒅𝒖𝒓𝒆𝒔 (including a hands-on workshop) and 𝑷𝒓𝒂𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒄𝒂𝒍 𝑨𝒑𝒑𝒍𝒊𝒄𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔 focusing on addressing sexual harassment cases.

This initiative reinforces DOST-SEI’s commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive, and gender-sensitive work environment for all. 🌿

In celebration of Breastfeeding Awareness Month, the DOST-SEI GAD Focal Point System, in partnership with DOST-FNRI, conducted a lecture on Breastfeeding in the Workplace for DOST-SEI employees.

Resource persons Ms. Lhearnie M. Carranza, RND, MPH and Ms. Aleona G. Marmita from DOST-FNRI shared their expertise on the importance of breastfeeding, healthy practices for lactating mothers, and supportive workplace policies.

This initiative highlights the importance of creating a breastfeeding-friendly workplace and increasing awareness of its long-term benefits for both mothers and children.

The DOST-SEI Gender and Development (GAD) team proudly held its first-ever Pride March and Pride Month Celebration — a vibrant and meaningful milestone for the Institute!

Capping off the celebration was an engaging and insightful Pride Talk led by Mr. Andrew John Liberato, a SOGIESC expert from FORA Consulting. The session covered essential topics such as:

💬 S*x, Gender, and SOGIESC
⚧️ Gender Issues of Persons of Diverse SOGIE (including HIV/AIDS)
🏳️‍🌈 All About PRIDE – engaging allies, educating the public on LGBTQIA+ rights, and removing stigma

This powerful initiative marked a proud conclusion to our Pride Month celebration — but the conversation and advocacy continue! 🌟✨

In between climate talks, our campers take time to reflect on something as vital: 𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻.

Last May 30, participants from Regions XI, X, XII and XIII of the 2025 CSYC had a 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 (𝗚𝗔𝗗) session led by 𝗠𝘀. 𝗔𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮 𝗕. 𝗕𝗼𝗹𝗼𝘁𝗮𝗼𝗹𝗼, GAD Secretariat of DOST-Region X, these youth leaders learn how equality fuels progress and how inclusion powers change.

A future that’s climate-smart is also people-smart.
