GIVING HEARTS. Another batch of donations were officially turned-over intended for the Tagumpay Tabang Eskwela: Project CONNECT and Balik Aral Sa Tahanan Program lately this morning, August 10, 2020 at the New City Hall Atrium, Apokon, Tagum City during the flag raising ceremony.

On behalf of the City Government of Tagum, our warmest gratitude to our benevolent benefactors for the 6th batch donations under these program, to wit:

BOUNTIFUL BLESSINGS | Within the framework of the learning interventions initiated by the Local Government of Tagum under Mayor Allan L. Rellon's strong lead named Tagumpay Tabang Eskwela, a brand new project was initiated dubbed as "BALIK ARAL SA TAHANAN" was formulated to bridge the gap of education regardless of age of our Tagumenyos who did not completed their elementary and secondary academic years.

Anent, with the overflowing support of this program, another batch of benefactors have donated items in support of this education-bridging program, to wit:

ENDLESS GOODWILL | Days after the official turn-over of the donations under the TTE: Project CONNECT dated July 20, 2020 held at DepEd - Tagum City Division, another batch of donations received by PEESO Tagum from these big-hearted Tagumenyos.

To those who are willing to contribute to the success of this educational assistance program, we are still accepting donations meant for the continuous learning of our Kabataang Tagumenyos!

Project CONNECT turn over of learning materials 21/07/2020

About 450K pesos worth of learning materials were turned over by the City Government of Tagum to DepEd Tagum City Division on July 20, 2020 to aid teachers and students acquire necessary school needs and help them get by the new education modalities.

The learning materials that include flashdrives, printers, Wifi modems, computer inks, cell cards, bond papers, etc. were shared items gathered from the donation campaign drive dubbed as Tagumpay Tabang Eskwela: Project CONNECT.

The donation campaign drive spearheaded by the Public Education and Employment Services Office (PEESO) was able to gather needed materials coming from businesses, civic groups, families and individuals.

Mayor Allan Rellon in his speech assured the logistical and financial support of the LGU to DepEd Tagum City Division as it charts new modes of instruction that will kick off next month by the start of classes in August.

It can be recalled that the City Government has realigned its budget for the Special Education Fund (SEF) amounting to more than 19 million pesos to supplement the finances of DepEd in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic crisis.

Also present during the turn over ceremony held at DepEd Tagum Division Office were Vice Mayor Eva Lorraine Estabillo, Education Committee chairperson Councilor Alderson Rellon, DepEd personnel headed by Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Josephine Fadul, and PEESO personnel headed Rogeneth Pagdilao-Llanos

LGU Tagum turns over P450K worth learning materials to DepEd

From one benevolent heart bound to another, the City Government of Tagum, headed by Mayor Allan L. Rellon with Committee on Education Chairman Councilor Alderson Rellon through the Public Education and Employment Services Office’s educational program Tagumpay Tabang Eskwela: Project CONNECT, officially handed the received donations to the Department of Education Tagum City Division this morning, July 20, 2020.

Project CONNECT linked the advocacy of LGU Tagum and DepEd’s educational pursuit in support to the implementation of the new learning set-up for the upcoming school year by connecting with different sectors thru donations which amounted to approximately 450 000 pesos worth of learning materials such as bond papers, flashdrives, printers, prepaid Wifis, Computer inks, and cell cards.

Mayor Rellon cited the importance of the educational materials to complement the needs for the new learning modalities since most of the public schools requested bondpapers and wifi modems as tools to provide access in modular and online class.

On the other hand, Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Josephine Fadul expressed her gratitude to the benefactors as the given donations will truly help students in pursuing their education amid the pandemic.

The Tagumpay Tabang Eskwela: Project CONNECT still accepts donations for the education of Tagumenyo students.

HELPING THRU GIVING | It takes a village to educate a child.

With the hand-in-hand effort of the donators, educators, and the Public Education Employment Services Office (PEESO) Tagum, the student-winners during the Online Launching of Tagumpay Tabang Eskwela: Project CONNECT expressed gratitude after receiving the raffle draw prizes essential for the new learning modalities.

In a vision to bridge access to online learning amid the pandemic, the stakeholders contributed 30 flashdrives, 10 Wifi modems, and two android phones awarded to needy and deserving students who were nominated by the teacher-participants in the online raffle draw.

Besides, Tagumpay Tabang Eskwela: Project CONNECT pursues education for all Tagumenyo students. No one is left behind!

Congratulations mga Kabataang Tagumenyos!

Yesterday, July 10, 2020, the winners of the raffle draw, which was held during the Online Launching of Tagumpay Tabang Eskwela: Project CONNECT, were handed over with the items aiming to assist their educational access for the new learning modalities. This is part of Mayor Allan Rellon's 10 Point Development Agenda in addressing the urge to aid on the educational spectrum especially during this pandemic crisis along with the unwavering support of Councilor Alderson Rellon as the Committee Chair on Education.

On behalf of the Local Government of Tagum, we are very grateful for the benevolent hearts of the benefactors, from both private and public sectors, as these donations will surely cross the accessibility of the learners unto the new learning schemes and continue towards envisioning their dreams.

This is only one of the many reasons why we can proudly say that in Tagum City may TAGUMpay!
