-San Jose Water District Shutdown: Operational closure due to a forest fire that destroyed essential pipe installations.
-PAGASA El Niรฑo Forecast: Ongoing dry spell conditions projected to last for 6 to 12 months, extending through the first quarter of 2027.

In celebration of the 14th Sangkaan Festival, cooperatives in Tandag City joined the City Government of Tandag and other partner agencies and volunteers in the Coastal & River Clean-Up held on September 5, 2026.

More than just cleaning our shores and waterways, the activity reflects the cooperative spirit of bayanihan, shared responsibility, and concern for the community and the environment.

Local cooperatives came together in support of KAPISKAY 2026 โ€“ Health and Social Services for All, held on September 7, 2026, an initiative of the City Government of Tandag to bring essential social and health services closer to the community.

Pimentel, through the City Cooperatives Development Office (CCDO), in partnership with the Tandag City Cooperatives Development Council (TCCDC) and the City Environment and Natural Resources Office (City ENRO), successfully conducted a Coastal Clean-Up Activity along the coastlines of San Agustin Sur and San Agustin Norte on July 4, 2026.

With 308 volunteers from 15 cooperatives, Association for River Initiatives Towards Environmental Sustainability (MARITES) volunteers, NEMSU Environmental Science student-interns, and community members, the activity showcased the power of cooperation in protecting our environment.
