The Mindanao Tourism Expo 2026 was more than just an opportunity to showcase destinationsโit was a valuable avenue to build connections, exchange ideas, and create meaningful partnerships within the tourism industry.
Over the past three days, we had the privilege of meeting and connecting with the people behind the tourism successes of their respective regions, provinces, cities, and municipalitiesโtourism officers, LGU representatives, industry practitioners, partners, and stakeholders who continue to work passionately in promoting and developing their destinations.
What made this experience even more meaningful was realizing that tourism is built not only through beautiful destinations, but through people, collaboration, shared experiences, and strong networks. From across Mindanao and different parts of the Philippines, MTEX gave us the opportunity to learn from one another, discover different approaches to tourism development, and build relationships that can hopefully lead to future collaborations.
Grateful to have represented Tulunan and Cotabato Province in this meaningful gathering. Thank you to everyone who shared their time, knowledge, stories, and friendship throughout these three days. Truly, the best part of tourism is the people we meet along the way.
