PRESS STATEMENT ON LATEST OCTA RESEARCH SURVEY

Malugod na tinatanggap ng Philippine National Police (PNP) ang resulta ng pinakahuling Tugon ng Masa nationwide survey ng OCTA Research, kung saan nakapagtala ang organisasyon ng 63% trust rating at 61% satisfaction rating para sa unang bahagi ng taong 2026.

Nagpapasalamat ang PNP sa patuloy na tiwala at kumpiyansa ng mamamayang Pilipino. Ang nasabing resulta ay sumasalamin sa pagsisikap ng kapulisan na mapanatili ang kapayapaan at kaayusan, maipatupad ang batas, at maprotektahan ang mga komunidad.

Para sa PNP, ang survey na ito ay nagsisilbing paalala at inspirasyon upang lalo pang pagbutihin ang pagbibigay-serbisyo at patuloy na maisabuhay ang layunin ng isang Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat, at Nararamdaman.

Kasabay nito, patuloy ding isinusulong ng PNP ang adbokasiya para sa mas ligtas na mga lungsod at pamayanan sa pamamagitan ng mas pinaigting na police visibility, mabilis na pagtugon sa insidente, at mas malawak na pakikipag-ugnayan sa mga lokal na pamahalaan at komunidad upang matiyak ang kaligtasan ng publiko.

Mananatiling nakatuon ang PNP sa makatao at maagap na pagpapatupad ng batas, habang patuloy na pinaiigting ang kampanya laban sa kriminalidad at pinalalakas ang ugnayan sa mga komunidad sa ilalim ng PNP Focused Agenda.

ZCPS10 personnel under the leadership of PCAPT PERLITO ABBILANI,OIC of Zamboanga City Police conducted Barangay visitation at Limpapa barangay hall and had a dialogue on anti illegal drugs campaign with the Limpapa barangay officials

The visit aimed to further strengthen coordination and partnership between the two agencies in promoting public safety, and effective law enforcement within the AOR.

PNP, NAMAHAGI NG 2.5 TONELADANG SARDINAS PARA SA MGA EVACUEES SA CAMALIG, ALBAY

Umabot sa 2.5 tonelada ng “lawlaw” o sardinas mula sa mga kaibigan ng Legazpi City Police Station (CPS) ang ipinagkaloob para sa mga pamilyang kasalukuyang nasa evacuation site sa Tagaytay, Camalig, Albay kaninang umaga, Mayo 5, 2026.

Ang nasabing donasyon ay agad na inilaan para sa mga evacuees na naapektuhan ng patuloy na ashfall mula sa aktibidad ng Bulkang Mayon, na nagresulta sa sapilitang paglikas ng mga residente mula sa danger zone.

Layunin nitong makatulong sa araw-araw na pangangailangan sa pagkain ng mga apektadong pamilya habang nananatili sila sa evacuation center.

Ayon kay Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., “Sa bawat panahon ng sakuna, ang PNP ay hindi lamang tagapagpatupad ng batas kundi katuwang ng bawat Pilipino. Ang ganitong klaseng bayanihan ay patunay na hindi nag-iisa ang ating mga kababayan—nandito ang PNP, handang umalalay at tumugon agad.”

Agad na tinanggap at inihahanda para sa distribusyon ang mga donasyon upang matiyak na mabilis itong maipapamahagi sa mga nangangailangang pamilya sa evacuation site.

Ang ganitong inisyatiba ay patuloy na nagpapakita ng diwa ng bayanihan at malasakit sa gitna ng kalamidad, bilang bahagi ng Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat at Nararamdaman.

NEGROS MOST WANTED NABBED IN EB MAGALONA R**E CASE OPERATION

The Philippine National Police, under the command of PGEN Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., arrested a Negros Most Wanted individual in Barangay I-Poblacion, EB Magalona, Negros Occidental at 5:16 PM on May 4, 2026, through a focused law enforcement operation conducted by the EB Magalona Municipal Police Station under the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office.

The suspect, listed as No. 4 Most Wanted Person in the Police Regional Office–Negros Island Region, was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest for five counts of Qualified R**e of a Minor, with no bail recommended. The accused was taken into custody and is now under the jurisdiction of the arresting unit for proper legal proceedings.

The operation reflects the continuing drive of the PNP to pursue individuals facing serious criminal charges, particularly those involved in offenses against minors. It also demonstrates the sustained presence of police units in ensuring that wanted persons are located and brought before the courts of law.

Aligned with the PNP Focused Agenda, a transformation framework aimed at strengthening responsive public service delivery, the operation underscores the key priority of Enhanced Managing Police Operations, supporting sustained actions against high-priority offenders and reinforcing accountability in law enforcement operations.

PGEN Nartatez stated, “We remain firm in our duty to ensure that individuals accused of serious crimes are held accountable under the law.” Dagdag pa niya, “Patuloy naming gagawin ang aming tungkulin para matiyak na ang mga ganitong kaso ay mabibigyang hustisya.”

He further stated, “Our commitment is to protect the public and ensure that fugitives do not evade justice.” Ayon sa kanya, “Hindi kami titigil hangga’t hindi naipapatupad ang batas laban sa mga lumalabag dito.”

In addition, he reiterated the administrative and criminal liabilities of PNP personnel engaging in illegal activities as cited in the PNP Code of Professional Conduct and Ethical Standards. Reminded the importance of the unified 911 emergency hotline number, quick response policy, the proliferation of loose fi****ms.
Likewise, reiterate the guidance on the release of information to the media, emphasizing strict compliance with document security protocols — PNP documents are strictly for internal use and must not be disseminated or disclosed without proper authorization.
Furthermore, all Patrollers and Police Station Beat (PSB) personnel were reminded to engage actively with community and barangay officials, to encourage them to follow the official PNP page, and to prioritize posting actual police work, operations, community engagements, and other significant accomplishments/events that exemplify genuine public service.

PNP ARRESTS MOST WANTED SUSPECT FOR R**E CASES IN BULACAN

The Philippine National Police, under the command of PNP Chief PGEN Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., successfully arrested the No. 2 Most Wanted Person at the regional level in an operation conducted at about 1:20 PM on May 3, 2026, in Brgy. Lapnit, San Ildefonso, Bulacan. Operatives from the San Ildefonso Municipal Police Station under the Bulacan Police Provincial Office served the warrant of arrest against the accused, who is facing four counts of statutory r**e with no bail recommended and three counts of acts of lasciviousness with a recommended bail of PhP600,000.00. The accused is now under the custody of the arresting unit.

The arrest highlights the firm and sustained efforts of the PNP in pursuing individuals listed among the most wanted, particularly those involved in grave offenses against women and children. The operation was carried out through lawful procedures, resulting in the immediate arrest of the accused and ensuring that the individual will answer before the court.

“This operation reflects our strong commitment to enforce the law without hesitation and to protect those who are most at risk in our communities,” said PNP Chief PGEN Nartatez. “Sisiguraduhin namin na ang mga taong gumagawa ng krimen laban sa kababaihan at kabataan ay mahaharap sa hustisya.”
