PUBLIC ADVISORY| In preparation for the implementation of the national government's FUEL SUBSIDY PROGRAM, the city’s Tricycle Adjudication Board (TAB) advises motorized tricycle operators to submit the following requirements starting Monday, March 23, 2026:

1. Driver’s License
2. Tricycle Franchise

Submission should be done at the City Legal Office, 2nd floor, main City Hall building from 8am to 5pm.

READ| Executive Order No KHYM 125-2026, an order amending EO No. KHYM- 046- 2025 by extending the duration of the experimental one-way traffic scheme in Canelar Moret from intersection of Mayor Jaldon Street to intersection of Tripplet Road in Barangay Canelar for three (3) months

The one-way traffic experimental scheme shall take effect immediately upon the concurrence of the Sangguniang Panlungsod.

CITY ASSESSOR'S OFFICE ADVISORY| The Office of the City Assessor informs the general public of the proposed 2026 Schedule of Market Values for Zamboanga City.

This is in compliance with Section 15 of RA 12001 or the Real Property Valuation and Assessment Reform Act (RPVARA) and the guidelines issued by the Department of Finance – Bureau of Local Government Finance, which require the publication of the proposed SMV.

All property owners, stakeholders, and concerned citizens are hereby notified of the proposed SMV to ensure transparency and updated real property valuation in the city.

The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Zamboanga City Field Office commends Zamboanga City's BADACs for their continuing efforts in ensuring the success of the 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 𝑩𝒂𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒂𝒚 𝑨𝒏𝒕𝒊-𝑫𝒓𝒖𝒈 𝑨𝒃𝒖𝒔𝒆 𝑪𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒄𝒊𝒍 (𝑩𝑨𝑫𝑨𝑪) 𝑭𝒖𝒏𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝑨𝒖𝒅𝒊𝒕 (Documents Reviewed: CY 2024).

Out of 98 barangays, 78 barangays were found compliant, posting a 79.59% compliance rate—a testament to the city’s strengthened commitment in the fight against illegal drugs and in promoting safe, orderly, and resilient communities.

This accomplishment reflects the dedication and collaborative efforts of barangay officials, BADAC members, and partner stakeholders in advancing effective local governance.

READ| Executive Order No. KHYM 114-2026, an order declaring an experimental traffic scheme for motor vehicles in Mayor Vitaliano D. Agan Avenue (Nuñez Extension Road), this city

The traffic scheme shall take effect immediately upon the concurrence of the Sangguniang Panlungsod and for a period of six (6) months or unless sooner lifted by the City Mayor.

OLASO SEEKS BARANGAYS' SUPPORT ON SECURITY| Mayor Khymer Olaso Tuesday morning, March 10, meets with chairpersons from barangay within the 7-km radius to strengthen peace and order in the city.

The meeting, held at the City Hall conference room, was attended by representatives from Task Force Zamboanga and the Zamboanga City Police Office, together with barangay officials from Zone 1, Zone 2, Zone 3, San Jose Cawa-Cawa, San Jose Gusu, Baliwasan, Calarian, Campo Islam, Sta. Maria, Canelar, Pasonanca, Tumaga, Sta. Catalina, Kasanyangan, Talon-Talon, Mampang, Tugbungan, Tetuan, and Camino Nuevo.

Mayor Olaso emphasized the need to strengthen security efforts amid shooting incidents and other crimes, stressing that Zamboanga City must remain a peaceful community.

As part of the initiative, the mayor ordered greater police visibility through the deployment of four patrol cars with designated routes that will conduct patrols day and night. Night patrols will focus on maintaining peace and security, while daytime operations will also enforce traffic discipline—apprehending illegally parked vehicles and public utility jeepneys and tricycles that stop anywhere along the road—to help ease traffic congestion in the city.

Mayor Olaso also directed barangay captains to intensify patrols in interior streets, mobilize barangay tanods, and activate their Barangay Intelligence Network (BIN), with regular reporting to the city government to further strengthen community-based security efforts.(Sheyn Arambala) (photo credits: Miljohn Mancao)
