In a concerted effort to boost local agri-business and empower micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), the Department of Trade and Industry-Zamboanga del Norte Provincial Office (DTI-ZN), in collaboration with the Department of Science and Technology-Provincial Science and Technology Office, Zamboanga del Norte (DOST-PSTO-ZN) and the Local Government Unit of Sindangan, Zamboanga del Norte, successfully conducted the ๐๐ค๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฌ ๐๐ซ๐๐ข๐ง๐ข๐ง๐ ๐จ๐ง ๐๐๐ง๐ ๐จ ๐๐ซ๐จ๐๐๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ข๐ง๐ on ๐๐๐ฉ๐ญ๐๐ฆ๐๐๐ซ ๐๐โ๐๐, ๐๐๐๐ at the ๐๐๐ ๐๐ก๐๐ซ๐๐ ๐๐๐ซ๐ฏ๐ข๐๐ ๐

The training aimed to equip local mango growers, processors, and aspiring entrepreneurs with practical knowledge and skills on value-adding of mango, which is one of the regionโs high-value commodities. The training included topics such as the basic principles and methods of drying and dehydration relative to dried mango and mango leather processing and the hands-on component.
The training was anchored and facilitated by the technical team from the Zamboanga Peninsula Food Innovation Center (ZPFIC) of the Zamboanga State College of Marine Sciences and Technology (ZSCMST) composed of ๐๐ด. ๐๐ข๐ณ๐บ ๐๐ญ๐ฐ๐ณ๐ฅ๐ช๐ญ๐ถ๐ฏ๐ข ๐. ๐๐ถ๐ช๐ด๐ข๐ฅ๐ข (Faculty and ZPFIC Assistant Manager) and ๐๐ด. ๐๐ข๐ฏ๐ช๐ต๐ข ๐. ๐๐ถ๐ญ๐ช๐ฅ๐ข (ZPFIC QA/QC Head), along with ๐๐ณ. ๐๐ถ๐ญ๐ด๐ช๐ฅ๐ช ๐. ๐๐ถ๐ญ๐ด๐ช๐ฅ(former ZamPen MMFPF Project Technical Staff).
Highlight of the event was an Inspirational Message from the Sindangan Municipal Mayor, Hon. Glona G. Labadlabad, who expressed her commitment and support to the MSMEs.
