JUNIOR RECON ACADEMIA INDUCTION CEREMONY

The RECON Vinta ZamPen Regional President, Hon. Winston Tulawie administered the oath taking of the Student Marshals for Junior RECON Academia. The said Junior RECON is the first in Zamboanga and in the country.

Present during the ceremony were the RECON Academia Chapter Governor, Hon. Rolando E. Rosaldo, Tugbungan RECON, and RECON Academia Teachers.

The ceremony was led by Hon. Rolando E. Rosaldo, followed by the Supervising Officer, Leonardo King Pamil, then the introductory speech was made by the President of the Student Marshals, Arielle Danika Laurito. 𝐎𝐍𝐄 𝐖𝐈𝐓𝐇 𝐔𝐊𝐑𝐀𝐈𝐍𝐄 Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent. These 40 days are an opportunity for all Christians to fast, share, and pray fervently to prepare for Easter. We also dedicate this day of prayer and fasting for peace in Ukraine.

May this be a reminder to all Christians to give thanks and be converted to our God. Let love, forgiveness, and sacrifice dominate ourselves in this day and age.

The Sangguniang Kabataan Tetuan celebrated the Aca 85-Dia de Zamboanga at Citymall Tetuan with the theme LENGUAJE CHAVACANO: CONVERSA, PRESERVA Y CELEBRA.

“Noma man alang-alang conversa [chavacano] y [noma] tiene huya cay tu es un Zamboangueño, un raza Zamboangueño,” stressed by Leonardo King Pamil during his extemporaneous speech at the said event.

Chavacano is a group of Spanish-based creole language varieties spoken in the Philippines. The variety spoken in Zamboanga City, located in the southern Philippine island group of Mindanao, has the highest concentration of speakers. Other currently existing varieties are found in Cavite City and Ternate, located in the Cavite province on the island of Luzon. Chavacano is the only Spanish-based creole in Asia.

LOOK! Student leaders residing in Tugbungan participated in the AYOS' leadership seminar on the 26th of February held at Talon-talon.

AYOS' main goal is to create innovative interventions in the grass root communities to achieve sustainable development. The event culminated with innovative knowledge imbedded in the youths' mind.

LOOK: Leonardo King Pamil led the TAC members and MAD Party officers and members in cleaning the Rizal Park Tuesday Morning. During the cleanup, the Chair of MAD Party, Cheska Mae Bantoto Bellamejor is also present and was actively involved in the cleanup. The cleaning of the park was initiated by Leonardo King and was coordinated with the Chair of the said party.

Pamil sends his profound and sincerest gratitude to the leaders who was present during the cleanup.
