The Level 4 students of the College of Nursing of Brent Hospital and Colleges Incorporated (BHCI) organized a two-day Business Expo on April 22 and 24 as part of their Nursing Entrepreneurship subject, anchored on the theme โFrom Care to Commerce: Empowering Nurses as Health Innovators and Entrepreneurs.โ Presentations were conducted in two batches, with Sections AโD on the first day and Sections EโH on the second.
Guided by their Clinical Instructors, students presented business concepts, products, and services grounded in healthcare. These proposals ranged from wellness-focused initiatives to community-based services, illustrating how nursing practice can extend beyond bedside care into sustainable ventures.
The program also featured invited speakers, Ms. Jarah Romuar RN, and Helouise Vallecer-Liwasan, RN, who delivered inspirational messages and shared insights drawn from their professional experiences, providing context to the studentsโ work.
Evaluated by faculty members and a panel of judges, the presentations reflected effective communication, applied clinical knowledge, and practical problem-solving.
Taken together, the expo functioned not only as a course requirement but as a transition point for the graduating class, underscoring their readiness to assume expanded roles in healthcare as practitioners, innovators, and entrepreneurs.

Today, you celebrate not just the end of your Senior High journey, but the beginning of something greater. Behind every step you took on that stage are the sacrifices, late nights, dedication, and passion you poured into both your studies and your craft in Synapse Publication.
You were more than studentsโyou were storytellers who gave meaning to moments, voices to narratives, and life to every page; your work has left lasting imprints that will continue to inspire those who come after you.
As you move forward into college, may you carry with you the same courage, creativity, and sense of purpose, embracing the unfamiliar with confidence and the certainty that you will continue to shine and make a difference wherever you go.
And always remember that Synapse will remain your homeโa place where your stories began, where your voices were first heard, and where your light first found the courage to shine; though your paths may lead you to different journeys, you will never walk alone, for we carry your stories with us just as you carry a piece of Synapse within you.

๐๐, we pause at the foot of the cross. It is called "Good" not because of the suffering, but because of the agape love that paid a debt. It was finished, so that we could begin.

Brent Hospital and Colleges Incorporated (BHCI) held a consultative meeting on February 27, 2026, to discuss a proposed 8% increase in tuition fees. The forum took place at the Audio-Visual Room from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
The meeting was led by School Director Analyn V. Suenan, MN., who opened the discussion by explaining how current tuition fees are allocated. She highlighted that a large portion supports employee salaries, campus renovations, school organizations, and scholarship programs for BHCI students. She also noted that past tuition collections funded the renovation of the schoolโs skills laboratory and emphasized that part of the proposed increase would go toward salary adjustments for employees.
The consultative forum was attended by department heads, faculty members, and selected student representatives. Attendance from parents was minimal due to short notice, and broader student participation was limited because only representatives were invited.
Following the presentation, a question-and-answer session allowed attendees to raise their concerns. Students asked about the allocation of tuition and miscellaneous fees, specifically pointing to underutilized facilities such as the computer laboratory. One of the most frequently raised questions was why the proposed increase is set at 8%, rather than a lower rate such as 5%.
In response, the Director clarified that the proposed increase has not yet been finalized and still requires approval from the Commission on Higher Education (CHED). The Accounting Office also shared projected tuition changes if the 8% increase is approved and implemented.
The meeting concluded after the Q&A session. As BHCI faces rising operational demands, the proposed tuition increase has sparked discussion on whether it is justified to support future institutional developments and improvements.
