Sisterly Yours Medical Mission | Barangay San Roque
Today, we successfully conducted the Sisterly Yours Medical Mission in Barangay San Roque, bringing essential healthcare services closer to the community.
A total of 120 young beneficiaries were served through our free circumcision program, ensuring safe and accessible care for the youth.
We extend our sincere appreciation to Barangay Chairperson Kap. Bebeth Macrohon and the Barangay staff for their warm accommodation and support.
Special thanks as well to our partners, the Philippine National Police – 5th Special Action Battalion, for their invaluable assistance in today’s activity.
This initiative reflects our continued commitment to promote health, dignity, and community well-being.
Together, we continue to serve with compassion and purpose. 💙

Yesterday, we successfully conducted our Sisterly Yours Medical Mission, bringing essential healthcare services directly to the community.
Through the support of our dedicated team and partners, we were able to reach and serve 263 beneficiaries with free medical services.

The 22nd Zamboanga Peninsula Regional Athletic Association (ZPRAA) Meet 2026 officially unfolds in Isabela City, Basilan—marking a historic milestone as the city hosts this prestigious regional event for the very first time.
With over 6,000 delegates from across the Zamboanga Peninsula, this year’s meet brings together the region’s finest athletes to compete in both regular and para-game events, fostering excellence, camaraderie, and the true spirit of sportsmanship.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Governor Mujiv Hataman, Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman and City Officials for the warm welcome and generous accommodation extended to all delegates and guests.
As one region, we celebrate unity, resilience, and the pursuit of excellence—on and off the field.

84th Araw ng Kagitingan: Zamboanga City Honors Our World War II Heroes
Today, we proudly commemorate the 84th Araw ng Kagitingan, honoring the bravery, sacrifice, and patriotism of our World War II heroes.
The celebration was led by City Mayor Khymer Adan Olaso on Wednesday, April 9, 2026, held at Rizal Park and the Freedom Fighters Memorial Shrine Plaza.
This meaningful event also forms part of the Philippine Veterans Week 2026, with the theme: "Giting ng Bayani, Pamana sa Salinlahi.”
Joining the Mayor were Vice Mayor Beng Climaco, Chief of Staff Celso Lobregat, City Administrator Percival Ramos, members of the City Council, Regional Director PBGEN Edwin A. Quilates, and representatives from the Armed Forces of the Philippines, United States Marines, Bureau of Fire Protection, Bureau of Corrections, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, and the Zamboanga City Police Office led by City Director PCOL Fidel B. Fortaleza Jr., along with other local government officials and employees.
Together, we remember and honor the courage of our heroes—whose legacy continues to inspire unity, patriotism, and service among generations.

🩺 8-Day Medical Mission Success | Care Beyond Our Walls & Philippine Medical Society Northeast Florida in partnership with Metrostonerich Corp., City Government of Zamboanga and the Office of Hon. Hannah M. Nuño
The City Government of Zamboanga proudly acknowledges the successful conduct of the 5-Day Medical Mission spearheaded by the Care Beyond Our Walls (CBOW) Medical Team, led by its President Dr. Charito Sico and the Philippine Medical Society Northeast Florida (PMSNF), headed by Dr. Francis Ong.
Through this noble initiative, CBOW Medical Team effectively delivered comprehensive Out-Patient Department (OPD) services to 5,103 patients at the Zamboanga City Coliseum, and performed 250 critical minor surgical procedures at the Zamboanga Regional Medical Center – Mindanao Central Sanitarium (Bucas Facility).
Meanwhile, the PMSNF Florida Medical Team, in close coordination with local health authorities, successfully conducted life-changing cataract surgeries at Labuan Hospital, benefiting 150 patients through a rigorous pre-screening process in partnership with the City Health Office, Dr. Usman’s Clinic, and Labuan Hospital staff and successfully provided medical services to 2,300 patients at Barangay Taluksangay.
From OPD consultations and minor surgeries to dental care, pediatric and adult services, cataract services, free eye check-ups, and free distribution of eyeglasses led by Dr. Romeo Bangongon, every day was filled with hope, healing, and service.
We would also like to extend our deepest and heartfelt gratitude to all our generous sponsors, to all partner agencies, local government units, volunteers, medical professionals, and support staff whose collective efforts made this humanitarian mission a resounding success. Your unwavering support, kindness, and commitment to public service truly made a meaningful difference in the lives of thousands of our constituents.

Measles–Rubella Supplemental Immunization Activity Launch
The successful launching of the Measles–Rubella Supplemental Immunization Activity (MR SIA) was held today at Barangay Ayala Covered Court, strengthening our shared commitment to protect every child from vaccine-preventable diseases.
The activity formally signaled the citywide implementation of this critical public health initiative aimed at protecting children from vaccine-preventable diseases. The program was preceded by a motorcade and highlighted by messages of support from health officials and local leaders, followed by the ceremonial immunization.
We extend our sincere gratitude to the Department of Health, Department of Health - Zamboanga Peninsula Center for Health and Development, City Government of Zamboanga, City Health Office, health frontliners, barangay officials, partner agencies, and parents for their active participation and unwavering support.
Together, we reaffirm our commitment to safeguarding the health and future of every Zamboangueño child.
