𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊 | The Department of Health Zamboanga Peninsula Center for Health Development proudly joins the Regional Council Against Child Labor (RCACL) – Zamboanga Peninsula and the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Region IX in the 2026 Regional Kick-Off Celebration of the World Day Against Child Labor (WDACL), held today, June 3, 2026.

Dressed in green shirts, the DOH ZPCHD participated in the Advocacy March from Plaza Rizal to Paseo del Mar in Zamboanga City, standing in solidarity with fellow inter-agency partners.

Together, we continue to intensify advocacy efforts and strengthen collaboration to raise public awareness, protect children's rights, and promote their welfare across the region.

The Department of Health Zamboanga Peninsula Center for Health Development conducted the Postpartum Intra-Uterine Device (PPIUD) Training from May 26 to 28, 2026, in Zamboanga City.

This three-day activity equipped healthcare providers with vital skills in PPIUD insertion, removal, client assessment, and infection prevention.

To ensure quality service delivery, participants completed hands-on return demonstrations using “Mama U “ models and a clinical practicum with actual patients across local health facilities.

The Department of Health Zamboanga Peninsula Center for Health Development, through the Health Promotion Unit successfully conducted the 𝐀𝐝𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 from May 25 to 27, 2026, at the local hotel in Zamboanga City.

The three-day training gathered healthcare workers and program implementers from across the region to enhance their competencies in delivering adolescent-friendly health services and addressing key adolescent health concerns, including mental health, adolescent pregnancy, sexuality, HIV and STI prevention, and substance use and misuse.

Together, let us continue building informed, empowered, and resilient young communities for a healthier future.
