Violence, terrorism, bomb blasts, and countless sacrifices — these are painful chapters in the political struggle of the Pakistan Peoples Party.
On 18 October 2007, after years of exile, Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto returned to Pakistan. During her historic homecoming procession in Karachi, a devastating bomb attack targeted her convoy at Karsaz. The tragedy claimed 139 lives and left hundreds injured, including PPP workers and supporters.
The Karsaz tragedy became another chapter in the long history of sacrifices made by the PPP for democracy and the people of Pakistan.
From Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto to Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, the party’s history carries the sacrifices of leaders and workers who gave their lives in the struggle for democracy, constitutional rights, and the people’s voice.
The Pakistan Peoples Party carries a legacy written not only in words, but in the sacrifices of those who gave everything for democracy. 🇵🇰🇱🇾
