عوام الناس کو آگاہ کیا جاتا ہے کہ حکومت گلگت بلتستان کے اصل نوٹیفکیشن کے مطابق تمام سرکاری اور نجی تعلیمی ادارے 16 مارچ سے 31 مارچ تک بند رہیں گے۔ اس سلسلے میں اصل نوٹیفکیشن بھی عوام کی رہنمائی کے لیے شیئر کر دیا گیا ہے۔

• 𝑨𝒑𝒑𝒍𝒊𝒄𝒂𝒃𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒚: These holidays apply to all Public and Private Schools across Gilgit Baltistan.

The School Education Department Gilgit-Baltistan, is pleased to share the official notification regarding the grant of Time Scale (TS-17).
In accordance with the recommendations of the Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC/TSC) and subsequent approvals, twenty-two (22) TGTs/TGSTs (BS-16) (Male &(Female) of Teaching Cadre across various districts have been awarded time scale promotion, effective from February 4, 2025.
The Department extends its sincere congratulations to all the promoted educators. This advancement reflects our continuous commitment to acknowledging the hard work and dedication of our teaching staff, who remain instrumental in shaping the educational landscape of Gilgit-Baltistan.

The 𝟓-𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐊𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐥𝐞𝐝𝐠𝐞 (𝐏𝐓𝐊) 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞 for newly inducted Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs) BPS-16 (Male) has successfully concluded across Gilgit-Baltistan.

Organized by T&SDC GB in collaboration with the American Board for the Certification of Teacher Excellence (ABCTE) — a project supported by Overseas Pakistanis — the PTK module is aligned with international standards for teachers’ professional learning.

A total of 𝟏𝟑𝟗 𝐓𝐆𝐓𝐬 participated at 𝐟𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐮𝐞𝐬 (two in Gilgit and two in Baltistan), marking another milestone in strengthening the professional capacity of our educators.

The closing ceremonies were graced by the Director General, School Education Department, Gilgit-Baltistan along with Mr. Fida Hussain, Project Lead Pakistan (ABCTE), and DDE Training Sabir Hussain at T&SDC Gilgit. In Baltistan, DE T&SDC Mr. Mohammad Musa Khan, DE Baltistan Division Mr. Abdul Wahab Mir, DDE Hazir Panah, and DDE Ghulam Rasool joined the ceremony.

The guests highly appreciated the proactive role of T&SDC GB in advancing continuous professional learning within SED GB and acknowledged ABCTE’s invaluable support in capacity building. Special recognition was given to the department’s own trained Human Resource — the 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 & 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐬 (𝐂𝐏𝐋𝐈𝐂𝐬) — who successfully led the PTK sessions across all venues.

Under the leadership of the Secretary School Education Department, Gilgit-Baltistan, 𝐌𝐫. 𝐔𝐬𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐀𝐡𝐦𝐚𝐝, the journey of transformative educational reform in Gilgit-Baltistan continues.

A five-day 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐊𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐥𝐞𝐝𝐠𝐞 (𝐏𝐓𝐊) 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞 has been officially launched for 139 newly appointed Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs), selected through the Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC). Designed by American Board for the Certification of Teacher Excellence (ABCTE) in line with international standards, this foundational module is being offered to public sector teachers with the support of overseas Pakistanis.

Facilitated by experienced Continuous Professional Learning & Improvement Catalysts (CPLICs) of T&SDC GB, the first day focused on the key characteristics of successful teachers, encouraging reflection on existing classroom practices.

A high-level committee has been officially constituted by the S&GAD and Cabinet Department to comprehensively examine the Time Scale Facility. This initiative specifically aims to bridge gaps in existing policies and address the concerns of teaching staff.
Key Terms of Reference (TORs) for the Committee:

🔹 Inclusion of Missing Cadres: Reviewing and proposing solutions for teaching cadres that were not included in the existing Time Scale policies of 2011 and 2014.

🔹 Re-evaluation of Result Condition: Examining the rationale behind the mandatory "60% average result of the last five years" condition (prescribed in the 2011 policy but not in the 2014 policy) and assessing its applicability.

🔹 Policy Review: Examining the Time Scale Policy of Nov 4, 2024, in relation to the specific needs of the Education Department.
The committee has been tasked to submit well-reasoned recommendations to the competent authority within one week.

January 20, 2026 — Honorable Secretary, School Education Department Gilgit-Baltistan, Mr. Usman Ahmed, along with a delegation of senior officers from SED GB, paid an important visit to AKU-IED/PDCN.
During the visit, the Secretary SED had the opportunity to meet and interact directly with the Education Fellows who were participating in a refresher training session. His interaction was marked by meaningful dialogue and encouragement, reflecting his continued commitment to supporting professional development for educators across Gilgit-Baltistan.
The delegation was also given an in-depth briefing on the Gilgit-Baltistan Education Fellows (GB‑EF) Project, where Secretary SED showed tremendous interest—asking thoughtful questions and engaging keenly with each aspect of the initiative. His attention to detail and motivation to strengthen educational programs highlighted the department’s vision of elevating learning outcomes and empowering teachers.
