.First time collaboration of Pakistan Agriculture Research council with Provincial Agriculture Research Department Diamer GB The Honourable Director General PARC GB Dr Maqsood Qamar along with senior scientists Rehmat Kabir ,Raja Tajuddin and Karim sab visited Field Crop Research Station Gonar Farm and established spring wheat trial of forty entries to check the adopt ability of entries with Agro climatic condition of Gonar Farm chilas

A Memorable time span of my service life!!!

I served 11 years in The Directorate of Agriculture Research Gilgit-Baltistan

I was posted as Scientific Officer (BS-17) during September 2014 and then in June 2016 I was assigned the duty of Acting Deputy Director Agriculture Research Diamer up to March 2017.

During April 2017 I was posted back to Agriculture Research Directorate Gilgit as Scientific Officer in Tissue Culture Lab Gilgit.

During 2019 I was promoted on regular basis as Deputy Director Agriculture Research Gilgit (BS-18) to date.

I would like to extend my gratitude and heartfelt thanks to all staff of this Directorate from the core of my heart and I will remember your company for my whole life Insha Allah 💗💗💗

Our Scientific work on Seed Potato Production has been published by the "International Journal of Agriculture and Biological Sciences"

Looking for the best farming practices for sustainable and legitimate Seed Potato Production System in GB.

Conducted 3rd Training on Certified Seed Potato Production with VAC: KISAN VILLAGE AGRICULTURAL COOPERATIVE SOCIETY, NASIRABAD SHINAKI HUNZA under financial support of ETI-GB.

It's our 2nd year that our Department is working in Collaboration with GRAVITY SEEDS COMPANY PVT LIMITED for production of certified Seed Potato of varieties Asterix and Bartina under protocol of Federal Seed Certification and Registration Deptt Gilgit.

Alhamdullillah Preparation of Book of Specifications on Suspolo Apple From village Parrhi District Kharmang is in Completion Stage.

The Book of Specifications is being written in collaboration with under GI Cell, MINISTRY OF COMMERCE ISLAMABAD under supervision of Mr. Imtiaz Ali Sahib The Deputy Director Agriculture Extension Kharmang GB

Conducted Farmers Training at Research Station Naltar Gilgit under ETI-GB regarding the importance and adaptation of Seed Potato Production system in the said valley.
Our Collaborating Partner PAk-KOREA PSDP POTATO PROJECT/ KOPIA PAKISTAN-NARC is supporting to provide Aeroponically produced Minitubers (G-0) and PB-1 of Asterix and Bartina fot strengthening seed potato Production system in GB.

Most of the ppl are cultivating Table Potato whereas our scientists convinced them to adapt seed production. They showed their interest in working with our team from the upcoming season.

Conducted CONTRACT GROWERS TRAINING for the Farmers of Bagrote under collaboration of ETI-GB and GRAVITY SEEDS COMPANY.

About 300 kanals of the field was cultivated with Seed Potato variety Asterix and Bartina.

Satisfactory Production is expected

A Joint venture with Pak-Korea PSDP Project (KOPIA-PAKISTAN), NIGAB, NARC Islamabad.
Onspot Crop inspection of potato after Haulmn killing at Chupurson under KEVLAR Pvt Company

Harvesting has been started and will be completed in a couple of weeks. After grading sampling will be taken for issuance of Tags as Basic/ Certified by FSC&RD.
ETI-GB is supporting financially to develop a sustainable seed potato system in 4P-Model

Transplantation of invitro plants of potato varieties for Minitubers production.

The crop will be harvested in 2nd & 3rd wk of December 2025 .

The Minitubers / Basic Nucleus Seed will be stored for cultivation in Next Cropping season for production of Pre-Basic Seed potato in the screen houses and in high altitude Research Stations of GB.

Seed potato Production System is being co-financed by ETI-GB as Collaborating Partner.
