Community-Based Awareness Session on Cleanliness & Waste Management
A Community-Based Awareness Session was organized by SRSP, in collaboration with the Local Government Department, Haripur, to promote community participation in cleanliness, sanitation, and proper solid waste management.
During the session, SRSP Regional Programme Manager Mr. Zubair Anwar briefed the participants on SRSP’s role and community-based initiatives. Tehsil Supervisor Local Government Haripur, Mr. Muhammad Arshad, provided a comprehensive briefing on the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s “Pak Saaf o Shafaf Khyber Pakhtunkhwa” Programme, its cleanliness initiatives, and community engagement mechanisms.
Participants were also sensitized regarding garbage collection services, responsible waste disposal, and the importance of active community participation in maintaining a clean and healthy environment.
