Ministry of States And Frontier Regions

Nawab of Junagarh, Muhammad Jahangir Khanji and Sahibzada Sultan Ahmed Ali visited Ministry of States and Frontier Regions regarding legal matters and the issues of Junagarh to be highlighted at international level.

Australian's Special Representative on Afghanistan to Pakistan Mr. Glenn Miles called on Federal Minister Senator Muhammad Talha Mahmood and Secretary SAFRON Mr Pervaiz Ahmed Junejo at Islamabad. In the meeting, matters relating to Afghan Refugees and their rehabilitation were discussed and it was agreed that efforts will be continued to mobilize the support for Refugees and host communities.

A meeting was held on 22-11-2022 on E-office adoption in the Ministry of States and Frontier Regions (SAFRON) which was chaired by Secretary SAFRON Mr. Pervaiz Ahmed Junejo. In the meeting, a comprehensive report pertaining to implementation of E-office in different sections of the Ministry was presented and status of E-office adoption was discussed by the Secretary SAFRON and other officers of this Ministry. Secretary SAFRON further guided the officers on fast paced implementation of E-office in true letter and spirit.

Pakistan’s Head of Mission in the Embassy of Pakistan to Afghanistan Ubaid ur Rehman Nizamani called on Federal Minister Senator Muhammad Talha Mahmood at Islamabad. Secretary SAFRON and Chief Comossioner Afghan Refugees were also present in the meeting where matters relating to Afghan Refugees and theri rehabilitation were discussed.

UNHCR Deputy High Commissioner Ms. Kelly Clements, along with her delegation visited Ministry of States and Frontier Regions (SAFRON). During her call on the Minister for SAFRON, matters relating to Afghan refugees were discussed. It was agreed that efforts will be made to mobilize support for the refugees and host communities.

Honorable Federal Minister SAFRON Mr. Muhammad Talha Mahmood presided over a meeting with Provincial Commissioners Afghan Refugees on 13th May, 2022. During the meeting, the Provincial Commissioners briefed the Federal Minister regarding latest developments in relation to Afghanistan refugees and humanitarian work in their areas of jurisdiction. The Federal Minister directed that proactive approach be adopted for implementation of Government's policies and projects.

Minister SAFRON Senator Muhammad Talha Mehmood Visited RAHA office. During the visit, Honorable Minister was briefed on different projects related to the welfare of Afghan Refugees.
