Pakistan came to Tokyo Game Show 2026 to put its gaming talent, creativity, and capabilities in front of the world.

And now, the world is taking notice.

Nikkei Gaming, one of Japan’s leading gaming and technology publications, has featured Pakistan’s participation at TGS 2026, shining a spotlight on the country’s growing gaming industry and the companies representing it in Tokyo.

In a show bringing together 1,138 companies and organisations from 53 countries and regions, Pakistan made its mark.

And that is the bigger story.

Pakistan is building a gaming industry with a young, ambitious talent base, growing creative capabilities and companies ready to work with partners around the world. Bringing that ecosystem to Tokyo was about creating visibility, opening conversations and showing the Japanese market what Pakistani creators can do.

To have that story recognised by Nikkei Gaming adds another important moment to Pakistan’s growing presence in the international gaming industry.

Tokyo Game Show 2026 may have ended earlier than planned, but the four days we spent in Tokyo gave Pakistan’s gaming industry plenty to take home.

From the first business meetings to the crowds filling the show floor, the Tech Destination Pakistan Game Pavilion brought Pakistani gaming, animation, AR/VR, and immersive tech companies face-to-face with publishers, developers, investors, creators, and gamers from around the world.

Our participating companies came to Tokyo to showcase what Pakistan can build. They leave with new connections, new conversations, and new opportunities to take forward.

Pakistan also took the TGS Event Stage, bringing Japanese and Pakistani voices together to explore the opportunities between our two gaming ecosystems. And with Nikkei Gaming featuring Pakistan’s participation, our presence in Tokyo reached audiences well beyond the show floor.

Pakistan showed up. Pakistan was seen. And Pakistan started conversations that can continue long after TGS.

A huge thank you to everyone who visited the pavilion, met our companies, explored their work, and took the time to talk about what we can build together.

Tokyo Game Show 2026 brought the global gaming industry to Tokyo, and Pakistan made sure it was part of the conversation.

With 13 Pakistani gaming companies at the Tech Destination Pakistan Game Pavilion, Pakistan connected with global publishers, developers, investors and potential partners, putting its talent and capabilities on one of the world’s biggest gaming platforms.

TGS was a strong showing for Pakistan, but more importantly, it showed what is possible when Pakistan and Japan connect their technology ecosystems.

And that opportunity does not stop at gaming.

Look closely at what the two ecosystems bring to the table.

Japan has decades of technological and industrial expertise, global companies, deep R&D capabilities, and sophisticated markets looking for the next generation of digital solutions.

Pakistan has a rapidly expanding ICT ecosystem, a large technology talent base, strong software and engineering capabilities, and an industry already delivering for global clients.

These aren't competing strengths. They are complementary ones.

That opens possibilities across the technology value chain: AI, software, automation, cloud, cybersecurity, FinTech, digital transformation, product development and R&D.

And this is where PSEB's role goes beyond taking Pakistani companies to individual events. Through market access, business matchmaking, international engagements, and its partnership with JICA, PSEB is helping create the connections through which companies, talent and ideas can move between the two ecosystems.

Japan IT Week. SusHi Tech Tokyo. Tokyo Game Show. Different platforms, but part of the same larger effort.

The opportunity is not simply to do more business between Pakistan and Japan. It is to combine what each ecosystem does well and create new technology, new partnerships and new markets together.

The next chapter of Pakistan–Japan technology collaboration has room to be much bigger, with opportunities to build, invest, innovate and grow together.

He looked around the world for a solution. He found it in Pakistan.

When Leonardo from Tanzania lost his arm in a car accident, he began searching across the world for a prosthetic solution that could help him regain movement, confidence, independence, and the ability to engage with everyday life.

'That search eventually led him to Karachi, Pakistan.

Here, Bioniks, a Pakistani HealthTech company developing personalized prosthetic and bionic solutions, took on the challenge.

Combining biomedical engineering, software, hardware, and digital

3D scanning, Bioniks developed a customized, non-surgical, plug-and-play bionic limb for Leonardo using its proprietary 3D scanning technology. The technology enabled the team to capture precise measurements and create a personalized fit designed around his needs.

Leonardo’s story is a powerful example of what Pakistan’s technology sector is capable of: building solutions that can travel far beyond the borders in which they are created.

A patient in Tanzania searched the world for an answer.

The answer came from a technology company in Karachi.

Bioniks’ journey reflects the growing strength of Pakistan’s HealthTech and deep-tech ecosystem, where software developers, biomedical engineers, product designers, and technology entrepreneurs are turning complex challenges into solutions that improve lives.

For PSEB, stories like this represent another dimension of Pakistan’s technology story. Our companies are not only building for markets around the world. They are building for people around the world.

IF YOU HAD ANY DOUBTS ABOUT HOW BIG TOKYO GAME SHOW REALLY IS, DAY 4 WAS PROOF.

And honestly, we’re sorry if you missed it.

The crowds. The energy. The games. The creators. The studios. The sheer number of people moving through the show made one thing very clear: this is where the gaming industry comes together.

And right in the middle of it all was the Tech Destination Pakistan Gaming Pavilion.

Our 13 participating companies spent another packed day meeting gamers, developers, publishers, investors, creators and industry professionals, putting their work in front of new audiences and turning conversations into potential opportunities.

Day 3 brought a whole new energy to the Tech Destination Pakistan Game Pavilion as Tokyo Game Show opened its doors to the general public.

The pavilion went from business conversations to a buzzing mix of gamers, creators, developers, and gaming enthusiasts, all coming through to discover what Pakistan’s gaming industry has to offer.

With 13 Pakistani gaming, animation, AR/VR and immersive tech companies under the Tech Destination Pakistan banner, visitors got to see the talent, creativity and technology being built across Pakistan’s growing digital entertainment ecosystem.

After two days of connecting with the global industry, Day 3 gave our companies the chance to connect directly with the people at the heart of gaming: the players and fans.

The pavilion is buzzing. Pakistan’s gaming story is reaching new audiences.

For Pakistan’s tech industry, every new market is another opportunity to grow.

And PSEB has always been committed to helping Pakistani technology companies find those opportunities.

We are proud to announce that PSEB has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Asia Web3 Alliance Japan (AWAJ), with Pathfinder CITADEL serving as AWAJ’s local coordination partner in Pakistan, to open new pathways for Pakistani companies across Japan and the wider Asia-Pacific region.

The partnership will help connect our IT and technology companies with potential customers, business partners, investors and industry ecosystems, while creating opportunities for B2B matchmaking, market entry, international events, institutional partnerships and cross-border collaboration.

DAY 2 AT TOKYO GAME SHOW: A DAY TO REMEMBER.

The Tech Destination Pakistan Game Pavilion was alive with meetings, new introductions, industry conversations and the excitement of Pakistani companies connecting with the global gaming community.

13 Pakistani gaming, animation, AR/VR and immersive tech companies spent the day showcasing what Pakistan can bring to the international gaming ecosystem, meeting publishers, studios, investors, platforms and potential partners from around the world.

The pavilion also welcomed Pakistan’s Ambassador to Japan, Mr Abdul Hameed, who met with the exhibiting studios and interacted with the teams bringing Pakistan’s gaming and digital content capabilities to Tokyo.

And the highlight of the day came on the TGS Event Stage.

With the support of JICA, PSEB brought Pakistan and Japan together for “Bridging Game Markets: Japan and Pakistan’s Next Big Opportunity,” a conversation exploring the talent, capabilities and opportunities that could connect the two gaming ecosystems.

From the pavilion floor to the biggest stage at TGS, Pakistan was part of the conversation.

A landmark moment for Pakistan’s gaming industry at Tokyo Game Show 2026.

Pakistan took the TGS Event Stage for “Bridging Game Markets: Japan and Pakistan’s Next Big Opportunity,” bringing the country’s growing gaming and digital content ecosystem into a conversation with one of the world’s most established gaming markets.

The session explored the opportunities connecting Japan and Pakistan across game development, talent, digital content, creative capabilities and international partnerships, with perspectives from both the Japanese and Pakistani sides.

The conversation featured JICA Director General Hideharu Tachibana, alongside Nauman Azhar of FRAG Games, Malik Fida Hussain of Ropstam Solutions and Mirsub Ali Fazlani of Innovative Pixels Art, bringing first-hand insight from Pakistan’s game development, publishing and animation ecosystem.

The session concluded with closing remarks from Ambassador of Pakistan to Japan Abdul Hameed, highlighting the importance of deeper Pakistan–Japan engagement across technology and the creative industries.

For Pakistan, this was more than a session on a global stage. It was an opportunity to introduce the people, talent and capabilities behind a rapidly expanding industry, and open the door to deeper connections with Japanese companies and the wider global gaming community.

A new horizon for Pakistan’s gaming industry.

At Tokyo Game Show 2026, PSEB CEO Faisal Jeddy took the TGS Event Stage to deliver a keynote on the immense potential of Japan-Pakistan collaboration in gaming and digital content.

His address brought Pakistan’s emerging gaming ecosystem into the global spotlight, highlighting the depth of talent, creative capability and technical expertise being built across the country, and the opportunity to connect these strengths with Japan’s globally influential gaming industry.

But the opportunity goes beyond games.

It is about Japanese and Pakistani companies finding new ways to co-develop, exchange talent, build digital content, enter new markets, and create for global audiences.
