غزل
مجنوں نے شہر چھوڑا تو صحرا بھی چھوڑ دے

بانگِ درا

سوداگری نہیں ، یہ عبادت خدا کی ہے
اے بے خبر! جزا کی تمنا بھی چھوڑ دے

معانی: سوداگری: کاروبار ۔ جزا: ثواب ۔
مطلب: رب ذوالجلال کی عبادت تو صمیم قلب سے کی جانی چاہیے ۔ اس عمل کے لیے محض جزا کو پیش نظر رکھنا خلوص دل سے عبادت کے منافی ہے ۔ بلکہ بالفاظ دگر یہ تو ایک طرح سے سوداگری کے مترادف ہے ۔ یوں بھی عبادت سوداگری نہیں ہوتی ۔ اگر دل میں خلوص ہو تو پھر جزا اور انعام کا تصور بے معنی شے بن جاتا ہے ۔


اچھا ہے دل کے ساتھ رہے پاسبانِ عقل
لیکن کبھی کبھی اسے تنہا بھی چھوڑ دے

معانی: پاسبان: چوکیدار، حفاظت کرنے والا ۔
مطلب: یہ امر بڑی حد تک مناسب ہے کہ مسئلہ کوئی بھی ہو اس کو بروئے کار لانے کے عمل میں دل اور عقل کے مابین رابطہ برقرار رہے اس کے باوجود کبھی کبھی یہ بھی مناسب ہوتا ہے کہ عقل کے بجائے محض اس جذبے کے تحت کام کیا جائے جس کا تعلق محض دل سے ہو ۔
