The team from M/s. Biafotech Pvt. Ltd. visited the PCSIR Laboratories Complex in Karachi on 10-03-2025 for an important session under the DTSA (Digital Transformation Strengthening and Automation) Project. The visit focused on requirement gathering and validating the necessary steps to ensure the successful implementation of digital solutions to streamline and enhance PCSIR’s operations/Business Processes. The KLC team, led by Dr. Hafiz Rub Nawaz (Director General) included Dr. Razia Sultana, (Director P&D), Mr. Arif Karim (HoC- APC&IC), Dr. Farman Ahmed (HoC- FMRRC), Dr. Akhtar Sharif (PSO/OIC ILO), Mr. Zain ul Ibad (PSO/QMR), Dr. Abid Karim(SSO), Mr. Mehtab Ahmed (OIC Marketing), Mr. Aslam Khan Abbasi (Sr. Admin Officer), Mr. Muhammad Sami (Accounts Officer), Mr. Farhan Ahmed (OIC Purchase), Mr. Mujahid Hussain( Assistant), Mr. Wasi Ahmed Shaikh (T.A), and Mr. Muhammad Mansoor Hai (OIC-MIS/Focal Person DTSA Karachi). The Biafotech team, including Muhammad Adil (Business Analyst), Abdul Rafay and Abdullah Imran (Technical Consultants), were instrumental in engaging with the KLC team to tailor solutions for digitizing ongoing processes at KLC . This collaboration is a significant milestone in advancing the digital infrastructure at KLC , setting the stage for improved efficiency and automation across operations.

PCSIR Umrah Draw 2024 – A Digital Milestone Achieved with DTSA Software Team
We are pleased to announce the successful implementation of the PCSIR Umrah Draw 2024, powered by the innovative and efficient Umrah Draw Software developed by the DTSA Software Team. This year, PCSIR took a significant step towards digitizing the selection process by conducting its first-ever digital/hybrid Umrah draw.

Engr. Fida Ullah Khan, Project Director of DTSA, successfully conducted an official visit to Karachi Lab Complex, accompanied by his subordinate, Engr. Tauseef Ahmad Khan (Network/System Administrator). The delegation was warmly received by Mr. Mansoor Hai, Focal Person of DTSA KLC, setting a positive tone for the visit.
During the visit, the Director General of KLC and the directors of the relevant units were briefed on the project's progress and the upcoming e-office training initiative. A comprehensive inspection of project activities was carried out under the PSDP project "Digital Transformation, Strengthening & Automation of PCSIR."
The visit proved to be highly productive, making significant contributions toward achieving the project's objectives.

Advancements in PCSIR Network Infrastructure(DTSA Updates)
With the unwavering commitment of the DTSA team, led by Project Director Engr. Fida Ullah Khan, and Network and System Administrators Engr. Tauseef Ahmed Khan and Mr. AttaUllah, during the recent visit to Karachi Lab Complex and meetings with key stakeholders, significant progress has been made in enhancing PCSIR's network infrastructure.
From diligently monitoring passive work progress to initiating fiber digging according to the layout plan, the team is moving forward with precision and dedication. Productive discussions with directors from KLC, PSTC Karachi, FRC, IIEE, and LRC have underscored the imperative of accelerating E-office implementation, now mandated across PCSIR, alongside addressing current network issues.
In the meeting with Dr. Hafiz Rab Nawaz, Director General of PCSIR, the DTSA team presented detailed summaries of these discussions, emphasizing the meticulous monitoring of passive work at KLC. The meeting led by CO-PD DTSA-PCSIR, Engr. Muhammad Ibraheem, brought together the Network Team - Mr. Attullah, Mr. Mujahid Hussain, and Engr. Tauseef Ahmed Khan, along with Commtel Manager Networks, Mr. Asad Waqar, and Head Networks Department, Mr. Adnan Jameel.
The meeting focuses on finalization of the IP scheme for the PCSIR labs/Units. This collaborative effort is poised to shape the technological landscape and enhance the efficiency of operations at PCSIR.

Engr. Muhammad Ibraheem (Co-PD, DTSA-PCSIR) and Network Team (Engr. Tauseef Ahmad Khan & Mr. Mujahid Hussain) from DTSA-PCSIR conducted a site visit to PLC to monitor civil work progress. During the visit, amendments to the civil work were discussed and finalized. A meeting with Mr. Jehangir Shah (DG PLC) addressed key topics such as partitioning in the account section and plans for the maintenance/renovation of the committee room. The team also engaged in discussions with the focal person from PLC regarding the measurement of power cables for centralization purposes. These collaborative efforts aim to enhance and streamline the IT infrastructure at PLC, fostering a more efficient and dynamic working environment.
