Yesterday, team Belgium was delighted to be part of Taste the World, an inspiring charity event thoughtfully organized by Islamabad Foreign Women's Association. IFWA has long worked to foster cultural exchange while supporting underprivileged women and children through its charitable initiatives.
We were proud to share a taste of Belgium through our waffle stall and to join so many others in turning global cuisine into meaningful support for those in need. Thank you to everyone who stopped by and helped make a difference.

Team Belgium traded their laptops for hockey sticks this Thursday to dive into Pakistan’s national sport. 🇧🇪🇵🇰
Pakistan remains one of the most successful hockey nations in the world, boasting a record four Hockey World Cup titles (1971, 1978, 1982, and 1994) and three Olympic gold medals (1960, 1968, and 1984).
We were incredibly honored to be coached by the legendary Mr. Muhammad Qamar Ibrahim, a former star of the Pakistan National Team, an Asian Games Gold medalist (1990), and an Olympic Bronze medalist (Barcelona 1992). 🌟
Let’s just say some of us showed "impressive skills," while the rest of us showed impressive enthusiasm for missing the ball! Regardless of the score, the day was a win for teamwork and spirit.

That’s a wrap on Day One of the first-ever High-Level EU–Pakistan Business Forum today in Islamabad. The Forum brings together policymakers, business leaders, and investors to unlock new trade and investment opportunities.
The opening session also marked the launch of the EU-Pakistan Business Network, which brings together more than 300 EU companies active in Pakistan.
Belgium will continue to support EU-led initiatives and engage Belgian companies operating in Pakistan and remains committed to supporting enhanced economic cooperation between the European Union and Pakistan.

Today, the world marks International Women’s Day under the theme “Rights. Justice. Action. For ALL Women and Girls.”
Women today hold only 64% of the legal rights enjoyed by men, and at the current pace, closing these protection gaps could take 286 years.
No nation has yet achieved full legal equality — but together, we can accelerate change. This year calls on all of us to dismantle discriminatory laws, challenge harmful norms, and ensure justice systems truly work for women and girls.

Recently in Pakistan, we’ve seen firsthand the impact of NGOs, activists, and institutions advocating for a ban on child marriages, leading to the adoption of legislation outlawing this practice.
