DPM/FM Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar spoke today with Foreign Minister of Iran Abbas Araghchi.
The two exchanged views on recent regional developments and ongoing diplomatic efforts aimed at promoting peace and stability.
FM Araghchi briefed the DPM/FM on his recent visit to China and the consultations held on regional and international issues of mutual interest.
FM Araghchi also thanked Pakistan for facilitating the repatriation of Iranian nationals from the seized vessels earlier, and appreciated Pakistan’s continued diplomatic and humanitarian support in this regard.

Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar spoke today with Singapore’s Foreign Minister, Dr. Vivian Balakrishnan.
The Singaporean Foreign Minister appreciated DPM/FM’s efforts and Pakistan’s role in promoting peace and stability in the region through facilitating dialogue between the United States and Iran. DPM/FM reaffirmed Pakistan’s continued efforts towards peace and development in the region and beyond.
The two sides discussed matters related to maritime affairs and recent incidents in international waters. They agreed to closely coordinate between the relevant authorities of the two countries.
The two leaders also discussed bilateral relations and underscored the importance of high-level exchanges. They agreed to remain in touch.

DPM/FM Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar chaired a meeting of the Committee to follow up on Pakistan’s preparations for assuming the Chairmanship of the Council of Heads of State (CHS) of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) for 2026–27.
He reviewed the ongoing preparatory work and directed all concerned Ministries and Departments to undertake comprehensive planning and coordination to ensure the successful hosting of the SCO CHS Summit in 2027.
DPM/FM emphasized that Pakistan, as an important regional player, attaches high priority to the SCO framework and its upcoming Chairmanship, which would reflect Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening regional cooperation, connectivity, and multilateral engagement.
He further stressed the importance of timely ex*****on, effective inter-agency coordination, and high standards of logistical and substantive preparations.
The meeting was attended by SAPM Mr. Tariq Bajwa, SAPM Foreign Affairs Mr. Tariq Fatemi, Secretary Foreign Affairs Ambassador Amna Baloch, Special Secretary Interior and Narcotics, Chairman CDA, IG Police Islamabad, and other senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and relevant ministries.
