Federal Minister for Ministry of Climate Change, Govt of Pakistan Dr. Musadik Malik in a meeting with Azerbaijan’s Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov in Baku on the sidelines of the 13th World Urban Forum. ( )

During the meeting, both sides discussed matters of mutual interest including energy cooperation, climate resilience, sustainable development, and opportunities for enhancing bilateral collaboration between Pakistan and Azerbaijan.

Azerbaijan's Ambassador H.E. Khazar Farhadov called on Minister Dr. Musadik Malik in Islamabad. The Ambassador specifically acknowledged Pakistan's clear and principled voice at the ECO meeting on , particularly Dr. Malik's emphasis on collective global responsibility and the inconsistencies that continue to undermine international climate commitments.

Minister Dr. Musadik has welcomed the Ambassador's invitation to the 13th World Urban Forum in Baku (17 to 22 May 2026), a platform where climate resilience and sustainable urban development will take centre stage.
