Let's join hands together to get justice in Kohistan Video Case! www.facebook.com/haseebkhawajaonline It took me one and a half month to investigate.
In the whole media of the Pakistan none had conducted complete and transparent investigations on Kohistan Video Case. When on 20-06-2012 Supreme Court had closed the case, then almost all the media discontinued the follow up on this case, Later on when I came to know about new developments in the case, then from 1st October, I started working on each aspect of the case and gathered proofs from all
over the country. Then I gave the story to nearly all the media to publish, but no one published it. Some were afraid of contempt of court and some feared that it might damage their personal interest. Then after waiting for 15 days, I myself broke this story on social media. I personally forwarded this story to almost all national & international, Government & private institutions & personalities. Thus my story reached direct more or less one million people. I started working on this case alone then after the publication of my story, then civil society also joined us. On 29th January 2014 in a press conference arranged by SAFMA I told that only Dr. Farzana Bari (Fact Finding Commission Member for investigation of Kohistan Video Case) and Afzal Kohistani (Effectiees) were true (both were along with me in this conference). At this occasion I claimed that girls had been killed by slaughtering. I mentioned that Chief Justice of Pakistan (Iftekhar Muhammad Chaudhry)’s role in this case was biased & non-serious. Later on almost all the Paksitani media on-aired/ published these news. Now each and every point of mine has been proved, as the High Court decision against the murderers of three brothers of the boys who shown in that video were killed due to these girls, it is verifying my claim that girls are killed before these boys, according to Kohistani tribal traditions, females are killed before the males. Moreover Molana Dildar (an ex-parlimentarian and ex-provincial secretary of JUI - F in KPK, Pakistan) and Jirga of 27 tribes of Kohistan have testified the points which I raised in my investigative article, and case is now open in District & Session Court (Kohistan), I have also filed an application to reopen the case in Supreme Court but we have not given a positive response till today. The case has assumed a strategic importance. The failure in this case will strengthen the local tradition and will give an official license to local communities to kill men and women in the name of tradition without any fear. Let us join hands to ensure justice is being done in the Kohistan Video Case to avert similar deaths in future.
