In line with the directives of the Prime Minister of Pakistan, a meeting was held at the office of the Pakistan Education Endowment Fund with Raja Shahbaz Khan to discuss scholarship opportunities for students from Gilgit-Baltistan. The meeting focused on exploring collaborative initiatives aimed at expanding access to quality education and technical training for students in the region.
During the discussion, both sides considered the introduction of Matric-Tech and Inter-Tech programs, along with the establishment of modern technical laboratories in Gilgit-Baltistan. The dialogue also emphasized strengthening capacity in key sectors such as healthcare, agriculture, fisheries, and natural resources to equip students with industry-relevant skills.
Furthermore, the meeting explored the framework for a joint scholarship program between the Pakistan Education Endowment Fund and the Government of Gilgit-Baltistan. Both parties highlighted the importance of a collaborative approach to enhance access to technical education and professional development, enabling students to contribute effectively to the socio-economic progress of the region and the country.
