On the International Day of UN Peacekeepers, Pakistan pays tribute to the brave men and women serving under the UN flag for global peace and security.
With over 235,000 personnel deployed in 48 UN missions since 1960, Pakistan remains steadfast in its commitment to peacekeeping, multilateralism, and the protection of vulnerable communities worldwide. We honour the sacrifices of all peacekeepers, especially our 181 Pakistani martyrs who laid down their lives in the service of humanity.

There’s something about football that words can’t quite explain.
It’s the way a stranger becomes a teammate the moment the game begins. The way a pitch, no matter how worn, no matter where in the world, feels like home. The way the ball rolls the same whether you’re carrying joy or heartbreak onto that field.
On World Football Day, we’re not just celebrating a sport. We’re celebrating every young person who laced up their boots on a hard day. Every moment of laughter between players who grew up speaking different languages. Every time someone felt a little less alone because they had a team beside them.
That’s the spirit behind Football for Mental Health , a new initiative by the United Nations and the Pakistan Football Federation.
Because so many of our young people are carrying things they don’t know how to say. And that’s okay. Sometimes you don’t need the words. Sometimes you just need to run, to pass, to play and somewhere in that, something opens up.
This is our invitation. To the fields. To the conversation. To each other.
