Empowering Artisans and Women Workers: Sungi’s Livelihood Initiative:

For over three decades, Sungi Development Foundation has collaborated with public and private organizations to empower home-based women workers and artisans by enhancing livelihoods and promoting crafts. Recently, Sungi organized a stall at an exhibition in Nathia Gali, showcasing the handcrafted products of their trained artisans, in partnership with the District Social Welfare Department of Haripur. This initiative not only supports artisans' income but also contributes to local economic growth and cultural preservation.

“Handicrafts are an integral part of Hazara cultural essence. Our region is blessed with immensely talented women who possess exceptional handicraft skills. These skills are not only worth exhibiting and promoting to preserve our cultural heritage, but also have the potential to provide these women with a means to earn a decent income.

Recently, Keeping in mind this concept Haripur Female Chamber of commerce and Tehsil Municipal Administration jointly arranged Three Days Exhibition for female who are related with craft work dated 12, 13, & 14 August 2023.

During this three days Exhibition around fifty stalls were arranged by female entrepreneurs and showcase their Products.
