Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (erstwhile Foundation), an organization established in 1989 under auspices of Ministry of Housing and Works, has recently been transformed into an authority through Act of Parliament on 15-01-2020.

The Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA) has officially signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Smart City Housing Lahore to develop a brand-new residential project spanning approximately 750 kanals along Multan Road, Lahore.
​This key project—aimed at fulfilling long-standing residential needs for resident federal government employees—was signed in the presence of FGEHA Director General Capt. (Retd.) Zafar Iqbal and Smart City Housing representatives, including Sardar Adil Umar.
​Key highlights of the initiative:
​Location: Multan Road, Lahore (750 Kanals)
​Objective: Providing quality and accessible housing facilities specifically for resident federal government employees.
​Collaboration: Utilizing private-sector expertise and public-private partnerships to improve delivery standards and modern infrastructure.

ڈائریکٹر جنرل ہاؤسنگ اتھارٹی کیپٹن ریٹائرڈ ظفر اقبال کی موجودگی میں فیڈرل گورنمنٹ ایمپلائز ہاؤسنگ اتھارٹی (FGEHA) اور ایف ڈی ایچ ایل (FDHL) کے درمیان شراکت داری کا معاہدہ طے پا گیا۔ کیپٹل سمارٹ سٹی کی حدود میں 2000 کنال زمین پر جدید ہاؤسنگ اسکیم قائم کی جائے گی۔
​ یہ نیا ہاؤسنگ منصوبہ "لینڈ شیئرنگ ماڈل" (Land Sharing Model) کے تحت تیار کیا جائے گا۔FGEHA کے چیف انجینئر سید محمد حسن اور FDHL کے ایگزیکٹو ڈائریکٹر برگیڈیئر (ر) محمد ندیم اسلم نے ایم او یو پر دستخط کیے۔​ڈی جی FGEHA: کیپٹن (ر) محمد ظفر اقبال کا کہنا ہے کہ یہ منصوبہ سرکاری ملازمین کو سستی اور عالمی معیار کی رہائش فراہم کرنے کی جانب اہم پیش رفت ہے۔ ہاؤسنگ اینڈ ورکس کی ہدایت پر تمام جاری منصوبوں کی بروقت تکمیل اور شفافیت کو یقینی بنایا جائے گا۔
