As we commemorate Independence Day, let us reflect on the journey of a proud nation founded on unity, diversity and shared hope.
Let us also reflect on the vision, courage and determination that shaped our republic, and on the values that continue to guide us as a people.

It was my pleasure to welcome Prof. Choudhary, Director of the OIC-COMSTECH (Ministerial Standing Committee on Scientific and Technological Cooperation of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation). We deliberated on potential avenues for enhanced collaboration between COMSTECH and Mauritian institutions, focusing on advancing partnerships in research, scientific cooperation, knowledge sharing, and innovation through strengthened cooperation in science, education, and capacity building. 🌟💡🎉👏💻

I visited the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Islamabad to convey my deepest condolences following the passing of His Eminence Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.
During the visit, I had the honour of meeting H.E. the Ambassador and expressing, on behalf of the Government and people of Mauritius, our sincere sympathy and solidarity with the Government and people of Iran in this moment of profound grief.

I also signed the Book of Condolences opened at the Embassy, paying tribute to the late leader.

Last Friday, I had a meeting from a group of women from the Women Entrepreneurs Association of Pakistan.
These ladies, are actively engaged in diverse business and entrepreneurial endeavours across multiple sectors. From emerging startups to established enterprises, their collective energy reflects resilience of women-led initiatives in Pakistan.
Empowering women in business is not just an agenda, it is a pathway to sustainable development and inclusive progress.

The Government of the Republic of Mauritius strongly condemns the heinous su***de bombing in Islamabad that claimed the lives of innocent people.
Mauritius stands in solidarity with the people and Government of Pakistan in this moment of profound grief. We mourn the victims, extend our heartfelt condolences to the families, and wish strength and healing to all those affected. Violence and terror can never be justified, and humanity must always prevail over hatred. 🕊️
