Mr. Sarmad Ali, Honourable Member of the Senate of Pakistan, paid a special visit at the Liaquat Memorial Library, Karachi.
He was warmly welcomed by Mr. Muhammad Arshad Patoli, Director Libraries Sindh, Directorate General of Public Libration Sindh, CTA&AD Government of Sindh, who also briefed him about the various sections, services and future plannings of the library.

During the visit, Mr. Fida Hussain Metlo, Deputy Director Libraries, Mr. Akhtiar Ali Mangi, Engineer PDMI & Cell, and Mr. Zaheer Ahmed Shaikh, Engineer PDMI & Cell, Mr. Waqar Shahni, Librarian and others were also present.

In celebration of Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day, a cake-cutting ceremony and hoisting of flag was celebrated on 14th August 2025 at the Liaquat Memorial Library, Karachi, organized by Mr. Muhammad Arshad Patoli, Director Libraries Sindh.
The occasion was graced by the presence of Mr. Habibullah Memon, Director General Culture, and with the library staff displayed patriotic zeal and renewed their pledge towards the nation’s solidarity, advancement, and prosperity.

On the eve of Independence Day, a cake-cutting ceremony was organized at the Liaquat Memorial Library, Karachi, to mark the occasion with patriotic spirit and enthusiasm. The event was graced by the presence of Mr. Muhammad Arshad Patoli , Director Libraries Sindh, Mr. Fida Hussain Metlo, Deputy Director Libraries, and Mr. Waqar Shahani ,Librarian, Liaquat Memorial Library, Karachi, and the participants in the ceremony, reflecting their commitment to celebrating national events and fostering a sense of unity and pride among the community.

Today, a seminar on essay writing, with a special focus on techniques and strategies for CSS examination preparation, is organized by the Liaquat Memorial Library, Karachi at its Lincoln Corner.
Mr. Muhammad Arshad Patoli , Director Libraries Sindh alongwith Mr. Fida Hussain Metlo, Deputy Director Libraries and Mr. Waqar Shahani , Librarian Liaquat Memorial Library, Karachi have welcomed and participated in the session.
Mr. Shamsher Ali Seelro, CSS qualified from Habib University was the spokes person of seminar, and the session aimed to enhance participants/readers writing skills, broaden their understanding of effective composition, and equip them with practical tips to excel in the competitive examination.
