KMC FIRE BRIGADE 🚒

KMC Fire Brigade responded Quickly, after a fire broke out in the electricity meters located in the basement of Lakhani Building, opposite Makkah Masjid, Garden.
Chief Fire Officer Mr. Humayun Khan personally inspected the entire site and highlighted several safety loopholes to the Market Union President. He advised that if proper fire prevention measures are implemented, such incidents and heavy losses can be avoided in the future.
With timely and professional efforts by KMC Fire Brigade, the fire was successfully brought under control and no casualties were reported.

KMC Fire Brigade responded promptly In the Supervision Of Chief Fire Officer, Muhammad Humayun khan.After a fire broke out in the electricity meters located in the basement of Lakhani Building, opposite Makkah Masjid, Garden. The fire later spread to furniture shops on the mezzanine floor, affecting around 17 to 18 shops.
According to the Market Union President, the cause of the fire was a short circuit. KMC Fire Brigade, along with additional fire tenders, successfully controlled the fire with professional efforts and prevented major damage to the market. No casualties were reported.
After completion of the operation, signatures were obtained from Market Union President Mr. Farhan.

04/05/2026: To pay tribute to the martyrs of the Fire Brigade, Firefighters Day was organized on May 4 at the Central Fire Brigade. On this occasion, Chief Fire Officer Humayun Khan, along with all station officers and a large number of firefighters, attended the event. The families of the martyrs also participated. Prayers (Fatiha) were offered for the departed souls, and solidarity was expressed with the bereaved families.

On the night of May 4 at 12:00 AM, Chief Fire Officer Humayun Khan lit candles and led prayers for the martyrs at the Central Fire Station. The candlelight tribute was held in honor of the Fire Brigade’s fallen heroes, with families of the martyrs and other fire brigade officials attending in large numbers. Special prayers were offered for the elevation of the martyrs’ ranks, paying heartfelt tribute to their sacrifices.

On the night of May 04 at 12:00 AM, a candlelight tribute was held at the Central Fire Station in honor of the martyrs of the Fire Brigade. Chief Fire Officer Humayun Khan, along with other fire brigade officials and the families of the martyrs, attended the ceremony in large numbers. Special prayers were offered for the elevation of the martyrs’ ranks, and heartfelt respect was paid to their sacrifices.

03/05/2026: Rapid Response As soon as the fire was reported on the second floor of a building called Bari opposite Jamia Cloth, the fire tender of the KMC Fire Brigade reached the spot and doused it. No casualties were reported.

Monday, 20 April 2026, a fire incident occurred at PS-104, UC-8 Jinnah Town, Dhoraji White House. Thanks to the swift and professional response of the KMC Fire Brigade, the fire was brought under control promptly.
It is highly commendable that the KMC Fire Brigade team reached the site within just 11 minutes of receiving the complaint. Their dedication, skill, and commitment prevented what could have been a major disaster. We extend our sincere appreciation to all the personnel who carried out their duties with courage and professionalism.
We are also deeply grateful to Mayor Karachi, Murtaza Wahab, the Government of Sindh, whose leadership continues to strengthen emergency services and urban facilities.
By the grace of Almighty Allah, timely action helped avert significant loss. May Allah keep us all under His protection and safeguard us from such incidents in the future.

Fire Update:
After reports of a fire at a factory near Ali Enterprises in Site Area, five fire tenders of the KMC Fire Brigade were dispatched, and the fire has now been brought under control.
Chief Fire Officer Muhammad Humayun Khan was present at the site, supervising the operation.
