SEDF represented Sindh and Pakistan at the Hunan International Sister Cities Economic and Trade Forum & Cooperation Dialogue in Changsha, China.

Sindh and Hunan Strengthen Cooperation Through Signing of Letter of Intent

The Government of Sindh and Hunan Province, People’s Republic of China, have signed a Letter of Intent to strengthen cooperation and explore new avenues for economic, trade, investment, technology and cultural linkages.

The Letter of Intent was signed by Mr. Sharjeel Inam Memon, Senior Minister for Transport & Mass Transit and Information, Government of Sindh, and Ms. Guo Ning, Director-General, Hunan Foreign Affairs Office.

The ceremony was attended by Syed Qasim Naveed Qamar, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister of Sindh for Investment and Public-Private Partnership Projects; Mr. Khizar Pervaiz, Chief Executive Officer, Sindh Enterprise Development Fund (SEDF); and Mr. Yasir Iqbal Butt, Consul General of Pakistan in Guangzhou, along with senior officials and representatives from both sides.

The agreement marks an important step towards stronger institutional coordination, business-to-business engagement, investment partnerships and knowledge exchange between Sindh and Hunan.

The scheme supports eligible SMEs, entrepreneurs and cooperatives in selected districts of Sindh, with priority given to projects in:

* Women Entrepreneurship
