The Sindh SDGs Support Unit team had the privilege of spending a meaningful day with the Government High School Malanhore Veena students in Tharparkar. Together, they explored the region's vibrant culture, sharing traditional Thari cuisine and visiting local community sites, including temples, a gurdwara, and a mandir.

In collaboration with Indigo Textile Pvt Ltd and Thar Education Alliance UNDP Pakistan and Govt. of Sindh, are committed to enhancing educational opportunities by establishing a STEM lab at the school.

This initiative aligns with our shared vision of advancing and empowering youth through quality education and innovative learning tools. 📚🔬

The Sindh Unit supported a collaborative effort by the Planning & Development (P&D) Department and the Hindu Council to bring a job fair to the Karachi Expo Center. The event, attended by Sindh's Minister of Energy & Development & Planning, Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, offered promising career prospects for the province's young people.

For Menstrual Hygiene Day, The Unit moderated and participated in an event organized by Water Aid Pakistan.

Pakistan on how Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) contributes to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The conversation highlighted the critical role of:

Open Dialogue: Breaking the stigma surrounding menstruation through open and honest conversations.

Collaborative Action: Public-private partnerships, particularly in educational institutions, to ensure access to hygiene facilities and MHM education.

Menstrual Allies: Engaging men and boys as allies to foster understanding and support for menstrual health awareness.

Menstrual Hygiene Management is a fundamental aspect of global health and an important indicator to track progress on several SDGs.
