Pakistani actress Hania Aamir, one of the country’s most popular celebrities with 18.3 million Instagram followers, has reportedly been dropped from the Indian Punjabi film Sardar Ji 3 amid escalating tensions between Pakistan and India, according to Indian media outlets.

Despite having a significant fan base in India and already completing filming for the project alongside stars Diljit Dosanjh and Neeru Bajwa, Hania is said to have been removed from the film.

In an Instagram Story posted on Thursday, Farhan Saeed criticized the Indian media for its reckless coverage of the incident in Pahalgam. Acknowledging the tragedy of the event, the actor-singer expressed his dismay, describing the media’s response as “cringe-worthy” and calling it “the most irresponsible and the agitator” in the situation.

According to a report by The Hindu, several Pakistani YouTube channels—collectively amassing around 63 million subscribers—have been blocked for Indian users. These include prominent news outlets such as ARY News, Dawn News, Samaa TV, Bol News, Raftar, Geo News, and Suno News.

In addition, YouTube channels run by journalists like Irshad Bhatti, Asma Shirazi, Umar Cheema, and Muneeb Farooq have also been restricted in India.

The Indian government has justified the move by accusing these channels of spreading provocative and “false” narratives targeting New Delhi, the Indian Army, and its security agencies.
