The new era of PML-N in Sindh is looking promising, with Nehal Hashmi, a seasoned politician and lawyer, nominated as the new Governor of Sindh. This move is seen as a strategic step by the party to strengthen its presence in the province, particularly in Karachi, which has historically been dominated by other parties .

Nehal Hashmi has a strong background in politics, having served as adviser to former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on law and justice from 1997 to 1999, and as president of PML-N's Karachi chapter in 2012. He was also elected as a Senator on a PML-N ticket from Punjab in 2015 .
