Dr. A.A Qureshi an Environmentalist and a renown generalist famous for highlighting the environment related issues. Dr. Qureshi has pointed out the extinction of Marine Turtles from Pakistan in his article published in Daily Dawn in 1966 "Good Bye Turtles". After publication of that article, Government of Sindh initiated Marine Turtle Conservation Programme in Sindh which was regularized in 1979. The Marine Turtle Conservation Programme of Sindh Wildlife Department is the oldest turtle conservation activity among the world. Thanks Dr. A.A.Qureshi.
