As part of its ongoing Staff Training Series, the Office of the Ombudsman Punjab conducted a two-day training session on 1–2 June 2026 to further strengthen institutional capacity and enhance professional skills.
The session featured presentations by Mr. Omer Saeed (Deputy Director Administration & Transport), Mr. Nadeem Hassan Gohar (Registrar), Mr. Afzaal Waris (MIS Expert) and Mr. Kamran Waheed, Assistant Director (Development), who shared valuable insights on administrative procedures, digital systems, operational efficiency, and best practices in public service delivery.
The training series reflects the Office’s commitment to continuous learning, professional development, and improving the quality of services provided to citizens across Punjab.

Session 2 of the International Internship Programme 2026 concluded with the Certification Ceremony, marking the successful completion of an enriching learning journey.
Ms. Sheila Caroline Sempa, Supervisor of the Complaint Management Desk from the Inspectorate of Government (IG), Uganda shared her key findings, experiences, and recommendations gained throughout the programme, highlighting the value of international exposure, knowledge exchange, and collaborative learning.
The certificates were awarded by the Ombudsman Punjab and Mr. Ahmad Yar Khan, Advisor (Research), recognizing the interns' dedication and successful completion of the programme.
A memorable conclusion to a week of learning, engagement, and global collaboration.

A total of 77 kanals of state land worth Rs. 192.3 million has been successfully retrieved from illegal occupation. The land, belonging to various government departments, had been encroached upon with unauthorized commercial structures.
Following detailed investigations and legal demarcation, the land was vacated through the efforts of the Office of the Ombudsman Punjab in coordination with the concerned departments. Strict directions have also been issued to ensure that the retrieved land is protected from future encroachments. Citizens and local residents welcomed the action, calling it a timely step towards upholding the rule of law.

77 کنال سرکاری زمین، جس کی مالیت 19 کروڑ 23 لاکھ روپے ہے، ناجائز قبضے سے واگزار کروا لی گئی۔ یہ زمین مختلف سرکاری محکموں کی ملکیت تھی جس پر غیر قانونی دکانیں قائم کی گئی تھیں۔
تحقیقات اور قانونی حد بندی (ڈیمارکیشن) کے بعددفتر محتسب پنجاب کی کوششوں اور متعلقہ محکموں کے تعاون سے زمین واگزار کروائی گئی۔ آئندہ دوبارہ قبضے سے بچاؤ کے لیے بھی ہدایات جاری کی گئی ہیں۔ شہریوں اور مقامی افراد نے اس اقدام کو سراہتے ہوئے اسے قانون کی عملداری کے لیے اہم قرار دیا۔

دفتر محتسب پنجاب تمام عازمینِ حج کو اس سال فریضۂ حج کی سعادت حاصل کرنے پر دلی مبارکباد اور نیک خواہشات پیش کرتا ہے۔
حج اتحاد، صبر، عاجزی، مساوات اور اُن اقدار کی علامت ہے جو انسانیت اور معاشرے کو مضبوط بناتی ہیں۔ دنیا بھر سے لاکھوں افراد جب ہم آہنگی اور نظم و ضبط کے ساتھ ایک مقام پر جمع ہوتے ہیں تو یہ مقدس موقع ہمدردی، باہمی احترام اور اجتماعی ذمہ داری کی اہمیت کو اجاگر کرتا ہے۔

Continuing its ongoing commitment to capacity building and professional development, the Office of the Ombudsman Punjab organized a series of refresher training sessions during the month of May. These sessions focused on strengthening institutional processes, improving administrative efficiency and enhancing understanding of the Office’s mandate and internal systems.
Mr. Sami Ullah, Advisor (Finance & Procurement) / (IT Infrastructure & Development), briefed participants on ISO 9001:2015, Quality Management Systems (QMS), and IT infrastructure. Administrative processes were conducted by Mr. Muhammad Omer Saeed, Deputy Director (Admin & Transport), while Ms. Sidra Arshad, Deputy Director (Procurement & Development), delivered sessions on procurement procedures, logistics, and development processes. Mr. Nadeem Hassan Gohar, Registrar, highlighted the jurisdiction, mandate, and grievance redressal role of the Office.
These continued refresher trainings reflect the Office’s commitment to institutional excellence, transparency, and continuous professional development.

On 22 May 2026, at the Governor’s House Punjab, Mr Sardar Saleem Haider Khan, Governor Punjab, was presented the Annual Report of the Office of the Ombudsman Punjab by the Ombudsman Punjab and Mr. Kaiser Saleem, Secretary, Office of the Ombudsman Punjab, reflecting the institution’s continued commitment to transparency, accountability, and public service excellence across Punjab.
The report highlights the Office’s performance, key initiatives, and sustained efforts in addressing public grievances, promoting administrative justice, and strengthening citizens’ trust in governance. The Office of the Ombudsman Punjab remains steadfast in its mission to ensure fair, efficient, and responsive service delivery for the people of Punjab.

The Office of the Ombudsman Punjab participated in a training programme hosted by the Ombudsman Institution of Türkiye under the cooperation framework between the Ombudsman institutions of Pakistan and Türkiye.
The programme was attended by Chief Ombudsman Mr. Mehmet Akarca, Public Supervisors Ms. Fatma Benli Yalçin, Mr. Abdullah Cengiz Makas, Mr. Özcan Yıldız, and Secretary General Mr. Mehmet Doğan.
The Punjab Ombudsman delegation included Mr. Muhammad Anwar Rashid, Dr. Khalid Hussain, Mr. Muhammad Nasir Jamal Pasha, Ms. Asifa Gull, Mr. Muhammad Saleem, and Mr. Adil Asghar.
During the week-long program, the delegation received briefings on institutional operations, complaint resolution, implementation practices, and international initiatives from Turkish experts.
The Office of the Ombudsman Punjab appreciates the warm hospitality of the Turkish counterparts and values this opportunity for mutual learning and institutional collaboration, further strengthening the bond between Pakistan and Türkiye.
