سابق سیکرٹری لاہور بار ایسوسی ایشن، سپریم کورٹ کے معروف وکیل لطیف سراء اپنے بھائی کے قتل کے مقدمے میں مدعی تھے۔ دورانِ سماعت مقدمہ ہر پیشی پر شعیب انور قریشی ایڈیشنل سیشن جج لاہور کی عدالت میں التجا کرتے رہے کہ مقدمہ میں غیر ضروری التواء نہ کیا جائے، ورنہ دشمن اُسے بھی قتل کر ڈالیں گے۔ مگر عدالت پر اپنی بوسیدہ دھیمی رفتار اور بےحسی طاری رہی۔ ٹرائل کے دوران تقریباً ایک سال سے لطیف سراء پر جرح جاری تھی، اور یہ اندازہ لگانا محال تھا کہ صرف ایک گواہ کی گواہی مکمل کرنے میں عدالت کو مزید کتنا وقت درکار ہوگا۔ یہاں تک کہ آج لطیف سراء کو ان کے ساتھی ایڈووکیٹ رانا سفیان سمیت دِن دیہاڑے قتل کر دیا گیا۔
