YREP Members Meeting on 13-12-19 accompanied with Breakfast hosted by Mr. Salman Paracha M/s Transtrade International Prominent Rice Exporter. Members discussed on major issues of feedback on Lahore trip, Moisture, damaged cargo and market outlook.

Seventeen member delegation of Rice Exporters Association of Pakistan (REAP) comprising of Karachi based young rice exporters visited RRI, KSK on 9th Dec., 2019. Dr. Muhammad Sabar (Director) highlighted the research achievements and activities in the context of varietal development. Mr. Mohsin Raza (Assistant Technologist) briefly discussed the parboiling and elaborated the varietal identification. Dr. Arshed Makhdoom Sabir (Assistant Entomologist) highlighted the menace of Khapra beetle in the light of phyto- sanitation. The resource persons addressed the queries raised accordingly. At the end, the delegation visited the different labs.
