🚨 MAJOR ACTION AGAINST ILLEGAL DRUG MANUFACTURING 🚨 (21-04-2026)

On the directions of Minister Health & Population Punjab Khawaja Imran Nazir and Secretary Health & Population Madam Nadia Saquib, under the supervision of Chief Drugs Controller Punjab Dr. Faisal Mehmood, a dedicated team conducted a successful raid today on an illegal manufacturing premises.

Raiding Team:

5. Aman Ullah, DI

Recoveries:
- Machinery: Blistering machine, injection printing machine, and packaging materials
- Medicines: Massive illegal stock including Nalbuphine — misused for recreational purposes — along with Cap Velocef, Cap Tamsol D, and Methix Tab
- Estimated value: Over PKR 20 million

The premises has been secured and legal proceedings under the Drug Act 1976 have been initiated.

*DRUG CONTROL TEAM IN ACTION ⚠️*

On April 1, 2026, a Drug Control team comprising Humaira Saleem, Hassan Haider Shah, Zishan Aslam, and Waleed Javaid raided an unlicensed godown in Lohari. Medical devices without proper enlistment were recovered, and the premises were sealed for further proceedings.

*RAID ALERT ⚠️*

On March 30, 2026, the Drug Control team of District Gujrat conducted a successful raid on a godown of New Gujrat Vet Medicine Distributors, Jail Chowk, Gujrat. A huge quantity of spurious therapeutic goods worth PKR 800,000 were seized, including Alqaim Azeem stomach vet powder, Alqaim saline Electuary, and AminoLife oral vet powder. These products, marketed by Al Qaim Marketing Services Pakistan, were found to be fake and the firm does not exist.

The raid led to the registration of a case against 5 accused persons: Mehndi Khan, Kashif Mehmood, Sami Ullah, Suleman Jamil, and Zia ur Rehman. All rooms of the godown have been sealed, and the report has been forwarded to DQCB Gujrat for FIR registration.

Today, under the supervision of Chief Drugs Controller punjab , a major operation targeting the rising issue of substance abuse, The Drugs Squad Faisalabad have recovered and Seized huge quantity of Narcotics mixed syrup and Majoons, Un Registered Therapeutic Goods, Misbranded Th. Goods, Without Form No. 6 & 7 (Product Enlistment) and also recovered huge quantity of used bottles of above mentioned Th. Goods suspected to contain Narcotics and Steroids commonly used for addiction have been waving Havoc in the society at business premises namely PANSAAR STORE also sent samples of Therapeutic Goods to the DTL Faisalabad for detection of Allopathic Ingredients. The premises was locked and sealed. The Case was forwarded to Sec. DQCB for further legal action

Also locked and sealed Mian Medical Store due to various contraventions of The Dug Act 1976 including selling and stocking of eugh quality Narcotics without SPR.

Continuing the ongoing crackdown against the illegal sale of narcotics and controlled drugs, Drug Inspectors of Lahore have maintained strict surveillance and enforcement operations in their respective areas.

🔒 2 premises challaned& sealed due to violations involving the unlawful sale of controlled substances.

The Drug Control teams are actively implementing a *Zero-tolerance policy* to eliminate the illegal sale of narcotics and controlled drugs in an organized and systematic manner.

Under the directions of respected Chief Drugs Controller Punjab, our dedicated team in Rawalpindi has successfully intercepted a major supply of unregistered vaccines.

Following an inter-provincial lead and 72 hours of continuous surveillance, the enforcement team led by Mr. Shahzad Iqbal (Drug Controller, Rawal Town) and Mr. Munir Ahmed (Deputy Drugs Controller Potohar Town) apprehended a peddler in possession of 200 vials of unregistered Meningococcal vaccines.

⚠️ Why this matters:
These vaccines are mandatory for pilgrims and workers traveling to the Middle East. Unregistered vaccines from unauthorized sources provide compromised immunity, putting lives at risk and damaging Pakistan’s international reputation.

⚖️ Action Taken:
The stock has been seized, and proceedings for an FIR are currently underway.

ENFORCEMENT OF DRUG REGULATIONS

Under the directions of the Respected Chief Drugs Controller Punjab, Mr. Muhammad Muddasir Munir, alongwith a dedicated team of Drug Inspectors conducted an inspection today.

📍 Location: M/s Melinium Laboratories, Quaid-e-Azam Industrial Estate, Lahore.
👥 Inspection Team: Mr. Saqib Zaka, Mr. Sohail Ahmad, Mr. Waleed Javaid, and Mr. Sharoze Malik.

During the inspection, various contraventions of the DRAP Act 2012 and associated rules were identified. Consequently, the Finished Goods Store was locked and sealed on the spot to ensure compliance with safety standards.

The CDC office remains committed to ensuring that only safe and quality-compliant medicines reach the public.

Today under the supervision of the Chief Drugs Controller Punjab Drug , Team Faisalabad conducted a series of Raids, A peddler was Caught by Deputy Drugs Controller Jaranwala Town for selling spurious drug Tab Duphaston, Inj. Oxidil, Inj Rocephin which leads to a house in Lakkar Mandi Faisalabad
Another team of Drug Controller Faisalabad along with Mr.Saqib Javed DDC Iqbal Town, Mr.Tahir Ahmed DDC Madina Town, Mr.Sunabal Saleem DDC Jaranwala, Mr.Talha Mazhar Drug Inspector Jinnah Town Faisalabad and Mr.Athar Farooq Drug Inspector Gojra raided a house without Signboard with the assistance of Police and recorvered and seized;
Supurious Drugs, Unregistered Drugs, Govt Supply Drugs, Misbranded Drugs, Packing Labelling materials for illegal manufacturing of the drugs.

In continuation of this a house was raided in Gulashan e Ali Town Of Madina Town and recovered and seized Tab Compression Machine, Capsule Filling Machine, Aluminium Foil of Capsule Amaxil and Omnidol NU, Cap. Blister Machine, outer packing of Omnidol NU Tab and PVC of 10kg due to Illegal Manufacturing of drugs.
The samples are also taken for the purpose of test analysis.

Under the kind supervision of Chief Drugs Controller Punjab a team of Drug Force Faisalabad Division including Madam Razia Sultana Drug Controller Lyallpur Town, Saqib Javed Deputy Drug Controller Iqbal Town, Tahir Ahmed DDC Madina Town, Talha Mazhar Drug inspector Jinnah Town, Amir Babar Deputy Drugs Controller Sammundri, Haroon Arshad Drug Inspector Tandlianwala, Usama Zahid Drug Inspector Chak Jhumra and Athar Farooq Drug Inspector Tehsil Gojra inspected Various Point of Sales at Tehsil Sammundri to curb the illegal Sales of Narcotics and Controlled drugs.

During the inspections 4 Point of sales namely M/S Bismillah Pharmacy, M/S Wahla Medical Store, M/S Life Care Medical Store, and M/S Haider Medical Store were sealed and challaned while 2 premises namely M/S Shakir Medical Store and M/S Bajwa Medical were Challaned.

Moreover, two points of sales were sealed from outside (Seal on Notice) M/S Care Plus Pharmacy and M/S Amir Medical Store as they fled away after seeing the teams.
