Subject: visit of Sand Stone Block Sargodha.
The Chief Inspector of Mines, Engr. Zubair Hussain Kharal, visited the sand blocks in Sargodha to inspect mining operations and ensure compliance with mining laws, safety standards, and Government regulations

The 92nd meeting of the Board of Examiners was held on 20th May 2026 under the chairmanship of Engr. Zubair Hussain Kharal, Chief Inspector of Mines, Punjab.

During the meeting, the result of the 1st Class Mine Manager's Competency and Surveyor Certificate of Competency Examination was finalized and approved. The Board also approved the schedule for next 1st Class & 2nd Class Mine Manager's Competency and Surveyor Certificate of Competency Examination 2026

Subject: Visit of Pull-111 along with Assistant Commissioner Sargodha

The Chief Inspector of Mines directed for the safety Audit of the whole mining area to ensure safety of the mines and mine workers as per 1923, Act

Subject: Visit of Mine Makarwal Coal Mines, District Mianwali

The Chief Inspector of Mines, Punjab, Engr. Zubair Hussain Kharal, visited Makarwal Coal Mining areas on 14.05.26 and 15.05.26, The Mines were thoroughly inspected along with Inspector of Mines Sargodha and Junior Inspector of Mines Mianwali. The Chief Inspector of Mines directed to conduct a safety Audit of all Makarwal Mines through an independent committee. The safety of the mines and mine workers shall be ensured by using all necessary measures as per Mine Act, 1923.

Subject: - Visit of Salt Mine M/s Lucky Core Industries (LCI) - Chakwal.

The Chief Inspector of Mines, Punjab, Engr. Zubair Hussain Kharal, inspected the mining operations of salt mine of M/s “Lucky Core Industries” bearing lease no. ML-CKL-I-ROCK SALT(10) on 09.05.2026. The observations were conveyed to the lessee company for rectification within 7 days.
It was reinforced that the safety of mine and mine workers shall be ensured by using all necessary measures as per Mine Act, 1923.

Visit of ADP Scheme “Construction of Mines Rescue & Safety Area Sub Station, Tilla Jogian, District Jhelum.”
The Chief Inspector of Mines, Punjab, Engr. Zubair Hussain Kharal, visited the site of the Mines Rescue & Safety Area Sub Station, Tilla Jogian, District Jhelum on 02.05.2026 to review the progress of the above-cited ADP scheme.
During the visit, the working and overall performance/quality was thoroughly inspected. Necessary instructions were issued to ensure the timely completion of the ADP scheme

Subject: - Visit of PMDC Main Salt Mine Khewra,

The Chief Inspector of Mines, Punjab, Engr. Zubair Hussain Kharal, visited PMDC Salt Mine, Main Mine P.D. Khan, on 18.04.2026. some observations were noted, the CIM directed to Project Manager PMDC to conduct a thorough survey of the whole mine digitally through AutoCAD. It was reinforced that the safety of mine and mine workers shall be ensured by using all necessary measures as per Mine Act, 1923.

Subject: Visit of Pull 111 regarding Breach of Water Pond

The Chief Inspector of Mines, Punjab, Engr. Zubair Hussain Kharal, visited Pull 111 on 8th & 9th April, 2026 in connection with the breach of the water pond at Block 14/126(Chak 126 SB). During the visit, the site was inspected and meetings with all concerned, officers and the lease holders were held to review the situation.
Necessary instructions were issued to ensure the safety of mines, mine workers, and all other allied/adjoining infrastructures.

The Chief Inspector of Mines, Punjab, Engr. Zubair Hussain Kharal, visited DG. Cement situated at Kalar Kahar on 05.04.2026. Issued necessary instructions regarding safe mining practices, emphasizing strict compliance with safety protocols and regulations.
