Enforcement teams remained active in Tehsil Allama Iqbal against restaurants violating government-notified timings and Smart Lockdown SOPs.
In strict compliance with government-imposed smart lockdown measures amid fuel shortage, Mr. Hamza Nadeem, SDEO PERA, Tehsil Allama Iqbal, conducted late-night field inspections to ensure implementation of SOPs. Restaurants, cafes, and shops violating closing timings and dining restrictions were checked, and strict action was taken against non-compliant outlets, including sealing of premises. Major markets and malls were also enforced to close as per notified timings, ensuring discipline and adherence to government orders.
To address public concerns regarding LPG availability and pricing, Mr. Hamza Nadeem, SDEO PERA, Tehsil Allama Iqbal, convened a meeting with LPG distributors, senior shopkeepers, and committee representatives of the tehsil. During the session, stakeholders shared their challenges affecting supply and pricing. The SDEO assured necessary measures and outlined a plan to ensure availability of LPG at government-approved rates, aiming to provide relief and maintain fair practices in the market.
Amid fluctuating fuel prices, strict monitoring is being ensured to protect public interest in Tehsil Allama Iqbal. In a joint field visit, the Assistant Commissioner Allama Iqbal Town along with Mr. Hamza Nadeem, SDEO PERA, conducted inspections of petrol pumps to verify revised government rates and accurate fuel measurement. Special teams comprising EOs and field staff have also been deployed for continuous checks across the tehsil. Petrol pumps involved in overcharging or short measurement were fined, and immediate compliance with official rates was enforced to ensure fair dealing for citizens.
In line with government directives, enforcement teams of Mr. Hamza Nadeem, SDEO PERA, Tehsil Allama Iqbal, conducted a comprehensive field survey and inspection across the tehsil targeting cigarette retailers. EOs visited shops to check the sale of ci******es and ensure that only tax-paid, QR-coded products are being sold. Vendors dealing in illegal or non-tax-paid ci******es were strictly warned, and clear instructions were issued that the sale or purchase of such products is strictly prohibited to ensure compliance with law and protection of public interest.
Focusing on hygiene and fair pricing during Ramadan, Mr. Hamza Nadeem, SDEO PERA, Tehsil Allama Iqbal, visited the Ramzan Sahulat Bazaar in Chung. Stalls selling flour, sugar, fruits, and vegetables were reviewed to ensure items are available at government-approved rates and proper quality standards. Special attention was given to cleanliness and food safety, and vendors neglecting hygiene or selling substandard items were fined on the spot to ensure the public receives clean and quality products.
