Under the chairmanship of ADG Operations Sohail Cheema, a committee meeting was held at Punjab WASA Head Office to review the proposal for the KfW-funded project "Supporting Resilient Environments". In pursuance of directives from the Housing Department and PDWP observations, the meeting brought together key representatives from P&D Board, WASA Faisalabad, WASA Lahore, Al-Jazari Academy, alongside Punjab WASA officers and consultants.

The session focused on addressing project observations and refining technical designs, particularly regarding overhead reservoir tanks and water supply infrastructure rehabilitation in Faisalabad. Detailed deliberations were held to finalize recommendations and firm up the project proposal for timely submission to the department.

Punjab WASA’s specialized training wing, the Al-Jazari Water & Sanitation Academy (AJWA), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with WWF-Pakistan to advance water security, conservation, and climate resilience. The ceremony was held in the presence of Chairman Punjab WASA Chaudhry Sher Ali Khan, Director General Punjab WASA Tayyab Farid, and Principal AJWA Dr. Souman Khalid. The agreement was formally signed by Director General WWF-Pakistan Hammad Naqi Khan and Principal AJWA Dr. Souman Khalid.
Through this strategic collaboration, Punjab WASA aims to strengthen technical capacity, drive joint research initiatives, and implement sustainable water management practices across the province. A productive meeting was held today, 05 October 2026, at the Headquarters of Punjab Water & Sanitation Authority (PWASA), chaired by ADG HQs Mr. Zamir Hussain, with the PITB team of the “Maryam Ki Dastak” Project.
The meeting was attended by Director IT & GIS Ms. Samreen Ashraf and Business Development, PWASA Mr. Muhammad Taimoor.
During the meeting, it was decided that the Maryam Ki Dastak digital service delivery platform will be utilized for the provision of PWASA services across Punjab Province, enabling citizens to access essential water and sanitation-related services through a more convenient, technology-driven and citizen-centric mechanism.
