Pakistan Red Crescent Society AJ&K State Branch organized a Session on "Community First Aid, Health & Hygiene and Disaster Risk Reduction" for the Community Members of the Village Machhariya, Muzaffarabad AJ&K.
The main objective of the session is to enhance the skills of community members in the field of First Aid and Disaster Risk Reduction and to adopt the best practices of health & hygiene promotion.
With the support of a local doner, Mr. Khawja Zulqarnain PRCS jointly distributed First Aid Box among the community members at different points to cope with any emergency or disaster situation.

Secretary Pakistan Red Crescent Society AJK MS Gulzar Fatima, Program Managers, Volunteers, and staff members joined the event, reaffirming their dedication to humanitarian service.

A cake cutting ceremony marked the occasion, symbolizing solidarity and resilience in serving communities.

Pakistan Red Crescent AJK organized a First aid training session for Imamiya Scouts at Peer Chinasi, a scenic hill station known for its breathtaking views and tranquil ambiance.

The training was aimed to equip scouts with essential life-saving skills and knowledge. The training covered a wide range of topics, including wound care, choking management, and basic emergency response procedures.

The picturesque setting of Peer Chinasi provided an ideal backdrop for the participants to engage in the training with a sense of calm and focus. Attendees actively participated in hands-on exercises and simulations, gaining practical experience in responding to various medical emergencies.

Pakistan Red Crescent Society AJ&K State Branch in collaboration with the Rehnuma Family Planning Association of Pakistan organized First Aid Training for Community Members of Kathan, Jheelum Valley AJK. The main objective of the training is to promote health and hygiene and to enhance First Aid skills in the community members to cope with any emergency or road accidents.

Muzaffarabad: The Pakistan Red Crescent AJK State Branch has celebrated its annual World Red Cross & Red Crescent Day 2023 here on Monday. It is worth remembering that May 08th is the Birthday of the Founder of the Red Cross Jean Henri Dunant who was born on 8th May 1828 in Switzerland and was honored with the first-ever Nobel Peace Prize in 1901.

On this occasion, different program activities including First Aid Training for the students, Youth Club Formation, were held at Muzaffarabad Public School & College. Besides, a session on Red Cross Red Crescent movement was also held by the communication officer of Pakistan Red Crescent AJK.

Health Coordinator International Committee of the Red Cross Islamabad Dr. Amjad, Program & Disaster Management Manager of PRCS AJK Naveed Awan, Program Coordinator First Aid Yasir Josh, Youth & Volunteers Officer Tahira Kazmi, volunteers of PRCS AJK, and staff members of the school paid tribute to the services of Red Cross Red Crescent volunteers. Moreover, the Cake cutting ceremony was also held at the end.
