Anti-polio vaccine is the safest vaccine which has never caused child death: DHS FATA

Year's last anti-polio campaign launched in FATA today. In this last anti-polio campaign of 2016 total of 1022700 children, below the age of 5 years, will be vaccinated in the entire FATA by 4290 teams, comprising 3880 mobile teams, 300 fixed teams and 110 transit teams. Anti-polio campaign in Wana subdivision of South Waziristan Agency will be launched on December 26th, 2016.

Agency Surgeons of North and South Waziristan Agencies presented facts and figures to Director Health Services FATA Dr. Jawad Habib Khan regarding accomplishments made in the first phase of multi antigen campaign and response to Diptheria Cases.

Three days anti-polio campaign begins in FATA tomorrow on Wednesday November 23rd, 2016; followed by catch up of missed children, under the supervision and security provided by political agents, commissioners and security forces.
In the entire FATA and Frontier Regions, 1022665 children below the age of 5 years will be vaccinated by 4146 teams, comprising 3753 mobile teams, 292 fixed teams and 101 transit teams. The campaign is focused on reaching and vaccinating every child for ultimate polio eradication.

Week long free medical camp was launched in North Waziristan Agency on Nov 16, 2016. Agency Surgeon Zakir Hussain visited one of the spots where Mobile Hospital and Eye care services were delivered.

Three days active anti polio campaign in FATA launched today. 1068347 children below the age of 5 years will be vaccinated by 4109 teams, comprising 3711 mobile teams, 296 fixed teams and 102 transit teams.

Deputy Coordinator EOC FATA Dr. Ikhtiar Ali says vaccine is being provided across FATA where needed and there is consistent effort to vaccinate every child.

Three days anti polio campaign kick started today in FATA and FRs. 982030 children under the age of 5 years will be vaccinated during campaign followed up by catchup and surveillance. Total 3996 teams will be administering vaccination to the children, comprising 3599 mobile teams, 292 fixed teams and 105 transit teams.

The Governor KP Iqbal Zafar Jhagra, while chairing a meeting today with FATA Task Force for Polio, appreciated progress made in anti polio efforts in FATA during past couple of years.
