Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur’s major initiative: paving the way for affordable and high-quality internet across the province.

Special Assistant for Science & IT Dr. Shafqat Ayaz stated that internet has become a basic necessity of modern life, and the KP government has taken this revolutionary step to facilitate the public. This initiative is a practical reflection of founding chairman Imran Khan’s “Digital Pakistan” vision and the Chief Minister’s public relief agenda.

He added that this policy will benefit youth the most, as they rely on the internet for education, freelancing, and employment opportunities, while businesses and institutions will also gain significantly. Dr. Ayaz clarified that internet services fall under the jurisdiction of PTA and the federal government, but the provincial government is taking every possible step within its mandate.

Keeping public needs in mind, all services provided through the Citizen Facilitation Center have now been linked with RTS.

Now, citizens will receive all facilities according to the timelines set by the RTS Commission. For this, there will be no need to visit the Commission’s office — instead, the Commission will directly verify matters with the concerned department.

Under the vision and leadership of Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur, another practical step towards Digital Transformation has been taken — the fifth Citizen Facilitation Center (CFC) in the province has been formally inaugurated in Mardan.

Special Assistant to CM KP on Science & IT, Dr. Shafqat Ayaz, inaugurated the Citizen Facilitation Center in Mardan.

The ceremony was attended by Provincial Minister for Food Muhammad Zahoor Shah, Commissioner Mardan Javed Marwat, Deputy Commissioner, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Chairman BISE Mardan Professor Jehanzaib, officials of the Science & IT Department, and PTI workers from Mardan.

The Mardan Citizen Facilitation Center will provide citizens with 26+ government services under one roof, including:
🔹 Domicile Certificates
🔹 Birth & Death Certificates
🔹 Arms Licenses
🔹 Land Transfers
🔹 Approval of Building Plans
🔹 Water Connections
🔹 Vehicle Registrations
🔹 And many other essential services

Speaking at the occasion, Dr. Shafqat Ayaz said:
“Now citizens will no longer need to visit multiple offices for basic services. All facilities will be available in one place, under one system. This is a revolutionary step towards public convenience, transparency, and easy access to government services.”

An Important Step by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government to Empower Youth with Employment Opportunities

Under the leadership of Special Assistant Dr. Shafqat Ayaz, the Department of Science and Information Technology has taken a major initiative for the youth of the province.

The “Digital Skills Initiative” program was formally launched at the Chief Minister’s House by Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur. This flagship program aims to equip young people with modern digital skills, enabling them to secure employment in both national and international markets.

Through this program, 27,450 young people will be trained in global standard skills, while 2,888 graduates will receive scholarships for international certifications. Training will be provided in 24 fields, including Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, Cyber Security, Graphic Designing, Game Development, and Social Media Marketing.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur said that this program lays the foundation for financial independence and a brighter future for the youth. He also emphasized that the government is rapidly digitizing public services to provide citizens with facilities under a transparent and modern system.

Dr. Shafqat Ayaz stated that youth are the real asset of the nation, and this program is a significant step towards making Khyber Pakhtunkhwa a digital and model province in line with the vision of Imran Khan. He expressed confidence that young people will utilize their skills not only to secure their own future but also to play a vital role in national development.

Entry Test for Digital Skills Program Held in Jamrud, District Khyber

Under the vision of the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the efforts of Special Assistant for Science & Information Technology, Dr. Shafqat Ayaz, the Digital Skills Program has been launched to equip youth with expertise in modern technologies.

The entry test was conducted for admissions in the following advanced fields:

A performance review meeting of the Department of Science and Information Technology was held under the chairmanship of Dr. Shafqat Ayaz, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Science and Information Technology.

The meeting was attended by Additional Secretary Muhammad Shiraz, Managing Director KP IT Board Aakif Khan, Director General Science & Technology Sajid Hussain Shah, and other senior officials of the department.

During the meeting, a detailed presentation was given on the performance of ongoing projects of the Department of Science and IT, and the achievements made so far were thoroughly reviewed.
