TDAP Peshawar Organizes Seminar on Exploring Trade Potential with Central Asian Republics
Dated: June 25, 2025

Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) Peshawar, in collaboration with the Khyber Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), organized an informative seminar today on the topic “Exploring Trade Potential of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Region with Central Asian Republics (C.A.Rs)” at the KCCI Conference Hall.

The seminar was well attended by exporters, business representatives, and members of the Executive Committee of KCCI. TDAP officials gave a detailed presentation highlighting the trade opportunities available for KP-based businesses in Central Asian markets, with a special focus on sectors such as gemstones, marble and minerals, agriculture produce, textiles, and handicrafts.

The speakers discussed key trade routes, logistic challenges, market access conditions, and the importance of regional connectivity through initiatives like the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and regional trade agreements. The role of the Torkham and Ghulam Khan borders in enhancing cross-border trade was also discussed.

The leadership of KCCI appreciated TDAP’s efforts in raising awareness about new export destinations and stressed the need for continuous engagement between the business community and government bodies. TDAP Peshawar reaffirmed its commitment to facilitating exporters and exploring new markets to boost KP’s trade volume with C.A.Rs.

TDAP Seminar on GSP+ and Its Impact on Export Promotion
Dated: June 23, 2025

Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), Peshawar, organized a seminar today at the Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) on the “Impact of GSP+ on Export Promotion.” The session was chaired by President SCCI, Mr. Fazal Muqeem Khan, and attended by members of the Executive Committee and a large number of exporters from various sectors. The seminar aimed to raise awareness about the benefits and compliance requirements of the GSP+ scheme, with a focus on enhancing export competitiveness and market access for KP-based exporters. TDAP officials gave a detailed presentation and assured continued support for the business community in exploring EU markets under GSP+.

TDAP Peshawar Participates in Seminar on Implementation of Pakistan’s National Action Plan on Business and Human Rights

Peshawar – June 3, 2025:
The Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), Peshawar office, actively participated in a high-level seminar organized by the Ministry of Human Rights, Government of Pakistan, on the Implementation of Pakistan’s National Action Plan (NAP) on Business and Human Rights. The event was held at Serena Hotel, Peshawar, and brought together a wide range of stakeholders to deliberate on the integration of human rights principles into business practices.

TDAP Peshawar made two comprehensive presentations highlighting the role of the Authority in promoting responsible business conduct, ethical trade practices, and inclusive economic development across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, especially in underserved regions. The presentations underscored TDAP’s initiatives to support women entrepreneurs, ensure capacity building of exporters in human rights compliance, and enhance linkages between trade and sustainable development.

The presentations received wide appreciation from participants, which included representatives from the Provincial Government departments, trade bodies, academia, legal professionals, NGOs, and a significant number of women entrepreneurs.

TDAP reaffirmed its commitment to aligning its trade promotion activities with Pakistan’s international human rights obligations and contributing to the effective implementation of the National Action Plan on Business and Human Rights. The Authority looks forward to continued collaboration with the Ministry of Human Rights and other stakeholders in fostering ethical, inclusive, and sustainable trade.

We were honored to welcome Mr. Faisal Karim Kundi, Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, at the TDAP Peshawar office.
The Governor was briefed on TDAP’s initiatives to promote exports, support local industries, and empower SMEs, women entrepreneurs, and youth through skill development and trade facilitation.
